The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful stay for our wedding. They prepped the room with necessities, as well as a nice surprise, and everyone from the reservations department to the front desk, at all hours, was so helpful. Shout out to Dave C in reservations, and Leon, Rhys, and Dave at the front desk for truly making us feel at home every day of our stay. Leon went above and beyond to make us feel like family being welcomed home. Really the best stay. We did our first look on the roof with the pools in the morning, and it was pretty epic. Thanks so much, Otter and Banff Lodging Co friends!

Our stay at the Otter Hotel was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. The entire property is spotless and well‑organized. We loved how many amenities were available, everything from the hot pool, sauna, fitness center, and guest laundry to the super convenient refillable water bottle station and indoor garage. Even the bus stop right in front of the hotel made getting around incredibly easy. The hotel provides free bus tickets, umbrellas for rainy days and bear spray. It also provides free coffee and tea that you can brew in your room. Safe and mini-fridge in the room have a slightly bigger design than other hotels. Good Folk, their on‑site restaurant, was a standout! It offered an upscale dining experience with excellent service and a cozy atmosphere, truly one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast is served from 7:00an to noon which makes it great for no rush days. The location of the Hotel was perfect: about a 20‑minute walk to downtown Banff or just a quick 10‑minute bus ride. We also had a gorgeous mountain view right from our balcony, which made mornings and evenings feel extra special. Overall, the Otter Hotel delivered comfort, convenience, and beauty in every detail. We would absolutely stay here again.

Incredibly helpful and nice staff. The hot pools were so relaxing. The hotel gives you a free bus pass to get to the downtown area which is also within a short walking distance within a mile.

Beautiful property. Staff was very professional and courteous. Our check-in experience was great. Leon went the extra mile to get our itinerary going. He booked transit passes for our stay, secured dinner reservations at Sky Bistro, and booked our gondola tickets for a great ride to and from our dining option. The rooms have a modern lodge feel, updated finishing and mixed materials give a warm, sophisticated, tranquil, resort feel. The outdoor hot tubs are located in an upper deck terrace with a view of the main street and mountains in the distance. Showers have both adjustable shower head as well as large rain shower head. Wall mounted AC unit is a little small and was able to sufficiently cool the room; however, it might struggle during hotter months. Pillow choices were also all the same which was slightly firm so if you want softer pillows you might have to ask for available options or bring your own if you have a strong preference.

Great stay at this place. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Good Folk restaurant at the main floor has great food and wine selections, servers and Manager were great. Avail of their free bus pass if you’re not driving. Very convenient, bus stops right in front of the hotel.

The newly designed Otter Hotel more than met my expectations! - Large and spotless room and bathroom (very hard working housekeeping team) with EPIC mountain view - pay the extra and book early / stay a bit longer to take advantage of their longer stay offers/ worth it! - Free Transit passes great - In room coffee making or tea provided (personalised) a nice touch with REAL milk or oat milk in tiny bottles. - gorgeous Rocky Mountain locally sourced bathroom products - rooftop hot pools and fire pits wonderful.
