It will be difficult for those who do not speak Chinese because the staff has very limited English skills. But the rooms are spacious and very well equipped. They also are clean. I didn't find any lounge bar to have a nice drink, only a disco. Breakfast is very bad.

I visited this hotel once from Canada and it was on my way there. All aspects of the place made me very impression. The rooms were spacious and quite lovely and could be seen from the gorgeous gardens in the back, complete with waterfalls, fountains, and statues. The staff was kind and friendly.

Overall, I had a fantastic time and will undoubtedly return. I stayed at the Lining on a business trip to Hengyang. The hotel is conveniently located with a grand entrance and lobby, and the staff is pleasant, but as usual, foreigners are taken a while to check in. My room was quite large and had a king-sized bed and a big bathroom with a large bathroom and a separate shower, all of which were beautifully arranged. Despite being a bit cheap at rmb 698, the extra expense was worth it. The bed was still firm, and the room was clean. There is a foot massage facility at the hotel and a few nice stores to browse.

The hotel looked fantastic on a moonlit night and misty morning, and I must say that this might have been the ideal, idyllic, and isolated stay if I had more time. I got to the hotel around 2300 after a long road journey from Changs Airport. The most important thing I was looking for was quick check-in, dinner in the room, and good sleep. I was disappointed on all three counts. Checking took between 30 and 45 minutes. There was no restaurant open to provide room service, and the ac in the room was broken and chilly. Thankfully, there was beer in the lobby, and there was a store open where I could buy some sandwiches and crisps, which was all I had before going to sleep. There was no wifi in the room, but luckily I had no intention of using the internet after a long trip. Breakfast in one large dining hall, and the spread was just ok. Luckily, fresh fruit was available. The checkout was thankfully smooth.
