This is a really good hostel, the dorms are open, and the view is great. Nature is in touch, but be aware that you're on the highway. The location is good for going to Tyrone and doing some hikes nearby. On the site, they warn you that you might be without internet, but they do not mention that the hostel also has energy problems. During four days, twice without electricity, one time more than half a day. Bring cash because you may not be able to use credit card without power, also they charge an additional 6 for it which they only told me at check out. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but some new people were learning, so one of the staff sold me four drinks during happy hour, and I ended up paying all of them instead of two, which turned out to be very expensive. The food is excellent.

We made a good impression staying in this hostel, which is similar to a tree house. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The bamboo structure uphill offers a fantastic view and is the ideal spot to chill out with the view of the Rio de Janeiro and the hills. We made a great impression while staying at this hostel. Everything on the menu is excellent, and the evening family dinner was always tasty with both meat and veggie options. The river and jungle are ideal locations to visit the beach, where you may see a variety of monkeys. We also went on a horseback riding tour to a hidden beach, which was excellent. After the weekend, we returned to this wonderful location to visit Tyrone Park, which is nearby.

We had a wonderful time at this place--a tree house-like hostel with a cool atmosphere and incredibly friendly personnel. The uphill bamboo structure offers an incredible view and the ideal spot to relax and watch the sunset over the hills and Rio. The family supper in the evening was always delicious and featured both meat and veggie options. You can cross the river and jungle to the beach, where you can see a variety of monkey species. Also, we enjoyed a horseback riding excursion to a hidden beach. After the weekend, we returned to this lovely spot to visit Tyrone Park, which is within walking distance.
