This is one of the last hotels I've been to before. It appears to be one of the last hotels in the cloud forest park. Yet in contrast to the reviews, I would not consider it to be within walking distance of the park. Although it is possible to walk, but it is still far from the center, and it is only a few minutes by car from there. cosy comfortable room with a nice view.

This is the last time I stayed in this hotel. The location was not good for visiting SantoElena and it needs a taxi at night even though we did walk back from the cloud forest. And then, the room was so dark, chilly, dark, and outdated. After that, even though there was no sunlight in the room while we were there, there was no way to get warm without getting under the blanket during the day. Subsequently, the room temperature was very cold. As an example, I stayed in a fleece one night at supper. Breakfast was a bit a shambles, and while the dinner food was fine, there was no atmosphere in the restaurant. Because of the mosquitoes, it was informed on arrival that our room would not be cleaned because it would be dirty but we had to ask for clean towels every day as they didn't dry after a shower. Every day, but this wasn't. When we arrived, there were ants in the shower. There was a garden outside in the sun but there was only one stone table and seat, making it unsafe to unwind after an early start in the cloud forest. Also, it was not in a good spot for visiting Santa ELENA, a taxi was required though we did walk back from the cloud forest.

It's in a good location, not far from Monte verde National Park. Though I walk up a long, steep step, especially with suitcases, the rooms 22 have incredible views of the rain forest. The room is large and comes with 2 double beds and a large shower with lovely items. However, the furniture and decor are a touch dated, there isn't much shelf space and no refrigerator. Nevertheless, the evening meal was disappointing and the breakfast was too bad.

Despite the fact that there isn't a pool, it was too cold. They were very attentive, and pleasant. They have excellent cleanliness and service. The bed was spacious, but it's still a bit antiquated. We had a wonderful view in the backroom room. Because it was so windy and very chilly, we requested a heater, which was provided, making us quite cozy. For dinner and lunch, there was a tiny selection, but it was all well prepared and presented. I think the meal and stay of 2 nights worked out nicely. I would go into town and eat for change for 10 dollars each way.

After five years, my sister and I went to Monteverde again. a little dissatisfied by the way the community has grown, which could have frightened many of the wildlife. However, our stay at the trap family lodge was great and the staff were very polite thank you, Tidier, for your kindness, wonderful food, and cocktails, and very clean and cozy facilities.
