We live in a local area and have used the restaurant twice in as many months. Recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. It has good old fashioned service and the staff are very friendly attentive. We had the set menu, which was good value and really enjoyed the steak. Have no hesitation recommending this for a pleasant evening out.

We rolled up to the formal frontage tired but alert cycling through this town was interesting! It looks prosperous in a bygone way, with a lot of activity and a pretty promenade. You can tell weve been relatively off grid for several days. The interior is similarly well appointed, and the staff is happy and friendly. There is still evidence of a grand past. We open the long and large windows to our room and gaze into the street as we let fresh air in it's been a hot day on the road. The bathroom, linens, and mattress all meet our high expectations in this ragged state. It's a shame there wasn't time to thermal over the road. Silver domes are lifted simultaneously from our evening meals. Wow! The maitre I is a cheerful, gentleman who nothing is too much trouble. The dining room itself is enormous with generous tables and space between conversations, making it different from the breakfast nooks in some joints. The sudden and enthusiastic overnight rain has cooled the roads by morning. We set off, limber and fresh, not least because of the quiet care of this grand, old dame.

All in all, I would return here, but I would look hard at other options and I would undoubtedly pick dinner at other restaurants. I reserved direct with the hotel for my particular experience, and the manager was courteous but did not go out of his way to simplify the process. I am a native Australian who struggles with my lack of second language skills. The manager decided to only deal in French, and while this is somewhat reasonable since he is French and the hotel is in France, the French used was unnecessary. The woman who inspected our group of 22 in was really helpful, and the receptionist was excellent. The hotel is strategically located, the pool is clean and lovely, and there are comfy areas in the garden where guests may relax and unwind. Although it was a hot stay, the rooms are cozy. Although I can't hold it, because I requested one, I was told that they were all being utilized. As my group was on both nights, and none of them were available, putting up an additional fan of hotel management would be a sensible move. The breakfasts were excellent and substantial in style, with plenty of food, and it was more than adequate. Both evenings, we had dinner here. The restaurant is too formal, and the food is good, but the atmosphere is rather gloomy and exhausting. The hotel strongly promotes the sale of water and refuses to supply a bottle of tap water

It's hard to imagine that there were any bad things going on at the hotel design because we only spent one night at bagneresdeluchon. And then, the room was nice. Besides that, the swimming pool area was a very good addition to the wonderful atmosphere.

In July, I spent five days here. This is all about expectations. I frequently stay in business hotels because I value their reliability, space, and comfort. However, since Bdt doesn't provide business class hotels, I stayed here, which has one major advantage. It is conveniently close to the action without being on the busy street. A fantastic, truly French motel. But there are some drawbacks. Let me remark. There is no air conditioning. Its a historic structure. I have to admit that every night during my stay, my sunny room temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius, that's not too warm. The wifi is inoperable. That is French, you said. To utilize it's fantastic wifi, I resorted to eating at the nearby metropolis hotel. Breakfast? Okay, minor complaints, but some thought would be lovely. Every day, I do not anticipate seeing worn sheets and laundry on the landings. This is straightforward information. On the plus side, the personnel is generally incredibly accommodating, including the younger people who do everything they can to do. A wonderful heated pool is concealed at the back. However, it is well-organized. And, hey, it's somehow very French, I really enjoyed my visit. Nonetheless, this hotel could be a bit better with a few minor tweaks.
