Some people have the same experience as me at Hotel Midi that their hotel meets you with a lack of staff speaking English, apparent lack of effort, and simple standards. But it has grown on you as a family and local type of hotel, you will not adapt, youll have to adapt. The rooms are simple but clean. There is a small work area with a good chair, but free internet hardly works. There are two plastic chairs on the balcony, but no table. I see some people find shampoo and things under the plastic glasses in the basket. Breakfast is simple, but if you ask for ham and cheese it is the point for you, for 8 minutes walk away. The restaurant is pretty good, with an atmosphere, choices, and value for the money that youll love. For instance, a threecourse menu for 18 and decent table wine. Try it!.

Plan to return frequently. Excellent location, spotless staff, parking, and an ocean view directly across from the shore. There isn't an elevator, but if you pack a light, it's not an issue. We added Saturday night in pajamas at the last minute and had a hard time finding a room. This hotel had mixed reviews, but we were desperate and surprised. The owner is grumpy, wonderful, with a great sense of humor, and very professional. We met three other couples who stayed the weekend to take advantage of the beautiful weather. It's not for sophisticated, fashionable people, but it was a great place to sleep on a getaway weekend. We were the only first-timers. The exterior has not been updated, but the decor is up to date and very well-maintained there is 50 or 60 years of time travel from outside to inside. He has been renovating since he purchased the hotel and is currently working on getting permits for a rooftop terrace. Not a chain hotel, not out to impress, but friendly and charming.

Overall, we were extremely pleased with our decision and would return. The room was just right for the price, good size, cleanliness, and new decoration. AC inefficient, balcony view of the sea, over low-rise houses opposite. WiFi worked well at the front desk, but not very well in the room. The children adored how close the hotel was to the beach. The service was outstanding, particularly in the restaurant. The owner appears impatient initially, but he turned out to be unstoppably helpful, especially when it came to parking our car! The meals were delicious, fresh ingredients, reasonably priced, and prepared on schedule. The staff was pleased to offer half-price portions of adult meals for children who didn't want to choose from the kids menu. The only change wed suggest would be a less expensive breakfast option. At 8 euros per person, an adult might get his money, but at 8 euros per child, it would have been the most expensive croissant in France. We chose to visit the camp bakery next door.

We only spent one night in this lovely hotel in a wonderfully underdeveloped resort, but could have stayed a week here. We had room 8 with a sea view and a balcony. The staff was excellent as was the food, taken on a terrace with sea views. No pool, but a short walk across the street to a sandy beach and the clear blue sea. Would recommend it to anyone looking to switch from the large impersonal hotel chains.
