This genuine stonehouse be was a real delight. The proprietor, Clement, recommended various nearby restaurants before mentioning that this was one of the evenings he was also cooking if we wanted to dine there. We were treated to succulent beef marinated in red wine and homemade puree with a wide range of cheese and homemade desserts. We ate on the terrace overlooking the vines and drank wine from the chateau. Absolutely perfect. Breakfast was also very good and we appreciated Clement and his partners relaxed and attentive way.

This is a very comfortable room with a calm and comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast is very yummy. The host is very friendly and speaks excellent English. They recommend an excellent restaurant close by. When coming here, be prepared to feel part of nature.

We stayed here for a while. We decided to stay longer and chose La Closer as our home base to explore the bordeaux region because it was so comfortable and convenient. It was better than the previous time. Clement, the owner and host, welcomes his visitors with open arms. His freshly cooked organic breakfast sets the tone for the day. He is able and willing to provide excellent advice, analysis, and assistance to get us to the best locations. Clement is open to use his culinary skills to create a delicious supper at a very reasonable price with early notice. The property is home to an exquisite vineyard and delicious homemade wines. We had a great time and look forward to coming back. Thank you, Clement.

Alicia and Clement could not have done more to make us feel at home. He provided excellent advice for a nearby restaurant, which was excellent, and we couldn't help but notice how much his assistance to other visitors went far above what would be expected. We had the best time taking a stroll into this stone guesthouse because we are in our late 20s and had traveled a lot. It was like traveling back in time two hundred years to a different, peaceful time. Except electricity! The decor and furnishings were tastefully contemporary, wonderfully original, and very to our liking. Our room was fantastic, roomy, and open, and from the two windows, we could see vines, branches, and more extending out into the distance. Even though there were a few trees as well, the wonderful quiet was frequently disturbed by the sound of birds and, occasionally, by a tractor or a distant airplane. We were made to feel welcome and at home by Alicia and Clement. His suggestions, including a great local restaurant recommendation, were really helpful, and we couldn't help but notice how his assistance of other visitors went beyond what would be considered ordinary. Breakfast was delicious on the patio in front of the house, and the platter of eight different cheeses, accompanied by a bottle of wines made from grapes from the vines, we were admiring as the sun sank behind the hills was pure bliss

We stayed one night but wish it could have been a little longer. Our room was upstairs, so it's a little difficult to carry a heavy suitcase, but it was equipped with basics, including a good shower. It's a very peaceful place and not walking distance to anything. The owner was very helpful in recommending nearby restaurants and also cooking in house. Breakfast was good, in a lovely room.
