The location of this place is close to the train station, and also near to hockenheim. But, Karlsdorf is quiet but everyone is nice. They provide a steak and chips at the Blauckhaus outside the hotel.

I waited an hour for the receptionist to open since there is only a part-time job there. Although the beds are nice and the hotel is spacious, my sheets had a cigarette smell. On arrival, I noticed primarily Romaniangreek lorry or bus drivers gathering outside smoking and chatting with each other. I had no issues with this, but even on the weekend when I stayed, it's more reminiscent of an upmarket workers' hostel than a relaxing hotel your wife may consider to be. I paid 85 euros for a double room with breakfast, which was satisfactory because this is a really busy business motel with a lot of occupancy, so the proprietor may not have to worry about the cost.

Not a place for a romantic stay, just an extremely tidy and friendly place to rest your head. I went there a week ago on business. Did not reach the major city due to traffic jams. Sat with a beer and a few other guests in the garden car park and had a good time! Breakfast filled your stomach. Great place for an unplanned stopover especially with kids completely safe.
