Hotel Búrfell had incredible views and a scenic location. It was close to Dyrhólaey and only about 15 minutes from Vík, which made it a convenient place to stay while exploring the area. The hotel itself was nothing fancy. The room was very simple, and the bathroom was basic, but it worked well for a short stay. Check-in was self check-in, which made the process easy, and there was parking available on site. The main downside was that it was very loud, so I would recommend bringing either a sound machine or earplugs. Overall, it was a simple but convenient stay with beautiful views and a peaceful location.

The hotel was fantastic, it was very quiet and the staff was excellent. The only slight downfall was they had recently changed the policy of allowing guests to use the fridge. I was unaware of this and we had just purchased groceries to take with us on our adventures the next day. I had asked the staff if they could refrigerate a few items for us and they were very accommodating. Additionally, the breakfast was fantastic and had quite the variety! I would recommend this hotel to you on your ring road adventures!

We enjoyed our two night stay here. The room was simple but had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, desk, two chairs and a great shower. Breakfast was delicious. Lots of choices from eggs, bacon, skyr, cereals and delicious breads. The staff at breakfast were so nice. Sisters from Lithuania. It was a little odd not seeing anyone at check in. But the process worked easily. They had emailed our door code and also had it waiting upon arrival. The outside looks a little sad. Grey building on a grey day. But inside was nicer. Our room overlooked burfell mountain. So wonderfully quiet. I also wish rhe long driveway was better maintained. 18 minutes to Vik.

Very nice property and an outstanding staff 15 minutes from Vik. The hotel is about a two minute drive from the main road. Loved the birds along the 2 minute drive to the hotel.

Property was beautiful and we were greeted by a friendly dog upon arrival. Breakfast included a large and delicious spread. Rooms were quiet, comfortable, and clean. Having a large TV and free chargers for use were a nice bonus. The room was a little hot when we went but we were able to open the window. Wish someone was available to help during check in hours instead of just a ring camera. But all in all, one of our favorite stays in Iceland.

Don't let yourself fool by the motel-like look of this place. The place is pristine, with brand new rooms, amazing breakfast and attentive personnel. Parking is available at the premises, and the location is minutes away from Vik.

Wir waren für zwei Tage hier und fanden es hervorragend! Das Personal war super nett und hilfsbereit, gab uns auch Ratschläge für Unternehmungen, Sehenswürdigkeiten und zu den Wetterbedingungen, die zu unserem Aufenthaltszeitpunkt nicht ungefährlich waren. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten kann man aufgrund der praktischen Lage in kurzer Zeit erreichen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war wunderbar, sehr viel Auswahl und alles frisch zubereitet. Das Zimmer war warm, sauber und gemütlich, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen und können das Hotel empfehlen!

All aspects of stay were good, only thing negative was that arm chair was blocking fire exit if there had been a manned reception I would have pointed it out. As it was I made a mental note in case it was required.
