I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sea Palace Hotel in Colaba, Mumbai, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I stepped foot into this vintage hotel, I felt like I had traveled back in time to old Bombay. The hotel's location is simply superb, overlooking the Arabian Sea and just a stone's throw away from the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel. The check-in process was swift and hassle-free, contrary to some reviews I had read. The staff at Sea Palace Hotel were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable. I had the privilege of staying in a sea view room, and it exceeded all my expectations. The room was impeccably clean and fresh, and the space provided was quite generous. The bathrooms were also well-maintained and spotless. Although I had booked breakfast, I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to enjoy it. However, the staff was incredibly accommodating and understanding of our situation. I stayed at the Sea Palace Hotel for a total of five days, and I can confidently say that I will choose this hotel again for my future visits to Mumbai. The price I paid for the excellent location and top-notch service was definitely worth it. The managers and staff at Sea Palace Hotel truly believe in the mantra that the customer is king. They made us feel welcome and treated us like family throughout our stay. Lastly, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Sea Palace.

The Sea Palace Hotel is in the most amazing location overlooking the harbour and 2 mins walk from the Gateway to India. Lots of shopping and excellent places to eat and drink in the vicinity. Also the hotel had its own roof top bar/restaurant which is lovely in the evenings. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Mumbai. I already recommending this hotel to my friends. Thank you Sea Palace Hotel for a most remarkable stay in Mumbai. We had a seafront room for 2 nights. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with an ensuite bathroom also with sea view. The staff provided good service, and a simple buffet breakfast was included. We loved the location, which enabled us to walk to the Gateway of India for a morning boat trip to Elephanta Caves, and later walk towards town to see the great stone British-era buildings and enjoy the life of the city. Room rate and food prices seemed high for India, but perhaps not for Mumbai. Fun rooftop bar/cafe!

I was welcomed at Reception and acknowledged as a long standing customer, up graded to the Appolo room , which was excellent. Although I had not stayed there for 18mths, the porter and restaurant staff recognised me and took great care of me throughout my stay. I travel on my own, this was very reassuring. I would definitely recommend the Sea Palace in Colaba Mumbay. The Terrasse Restaurant is a great Refuge after a day out!.

Great little hotel situated on promanade few hundred meters from the Gateway to India can go anywhere in taxi for £1 or les Great views over harbour, very helpful management and staff asked for room with large window and was upgraded to superior room on forth floor free of charge with balcony. Things I liked about the Hotel was the good location, near the sea and several tourist attractions. I also liked the rooftop bar and spent several evenings there. The breakfast had a indish buffet (but you could get toasted bread or boiled egg or omelette). I missed fresh coffee at the breakfast though. One thing that was a bit odd is that the cleaners didn’t seem to have access to the rooms, so that you had to leave your keycard at the reception if you wanted cleaning. The staff was pretty service oriented and I got good attention from them. All in all I am satisfied with my stay here.

It was a nice and quiet place. Staff was helpful and was generous enough to keep my bags for 4 extra hours after checkout. The rooftop restaurant and bar was super awesome. Room was ok except that the AC in my room was not working and was not responding to the remote. Not a big deal as it was not hot. But something the hotel should make sure it works before someone checks in.

The hotel is right on the seafront; it is quite rundown, and the room was very basic, but the beds were comfortable. The breakfast included omelettes cooked to order and various Indian dishes. The great location, sea-facing window, and warm, helpful staff made our overall experience very pleasant

The location of the hotel was really good as it was next to The Gate Way of India and Taj Hotel. Hotel has 2 restaurant, one on the rooftop and another in the front- both facing the sea. Hotel entry and elevator will make you feel that the hotel is old but rooms are fairly upgraded. Staff is really polite and quick in service. Breakfast was a bit disappointing because of less number of items but food quality was fine. If I would ever come back to Colaba, I would definitely book it for its true value for money and location.
