A good hotel with a good clean and attractive location close to the city center. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful. The location is really strategic and close to the beach.

The price increases will be expected in that regard, but it was all right because staying here was affordable. It is hard to say if I'd rate this 3 or 4, but it's somewhere in between. I stayed here for one night in September 2017. The hotel is a little outside of the city center of La Magdalene, but still within walking distance. If you have a room that faces the sea, it's great to be directly on the shore. It's like being on a ship. The room was straightforward but clean, and the staff's English proficiency was limited. Breakfast was included, but nothing to write home about. With some minor improvements, such as the upgrading of the lobby and rooms, and a more welcoming staff, this place has great potential to be a great location.

Our bedroom has a view of the ocean that is breathtaking from every balcony. This room has a good refrigerator. The shower screen rail was very old and had thin walls that can be heard piping by the next door. The bathroom was not so large. There are also a lot of nice towels and bath linens. The shower was really comfortable. The size was so spacious. The bathroom was so nice. The room looked old and clean. The bedroom was very comfortable. The balcony is great with its views of the bay and the beach. The bathroom looked so good and comfortable. The best affordable breakfast you can get for a low price for two people for just 39 per night!

If you're looking for a place with fantastic views within walking distance of the port, this is the place for you. The price of a room is cheap for such an amazing location. The sea wash under your balcony as you watch the ferry go back and forth to play. It's an easy walk to the port in only 5 minutes. I highly recommend walking.

About Hotel Il Gabbiano

Il Gabbiano was the first hotel on the island of La Maddalena, built in 1955. It offers beautiful views of the crystal clear sea and the islands of Caprera, Santo Stefano and Spargi. Free WiFi and free private parking are offered on site. Il Gabbiano has a private dock for those of you who have your own sail boat. You can relax in the private garden and on the sun terrace, right next to the sea. All rooms are comfortable and include a balcony with a view of the ferry channel between La Maddalena and Palau. They include a TV, mini-bar and private bathroom. Most have air conditioning. Breakfast is served daily and is a buffet.
