The hotel made you feel like you were experiencing authentic Italy. The giant front doors were amazing. We had 4 keys to unlock the 3 doors and elevator to get into our room, so safety did not seem to be a concern. The room was a bit dusty, but the bathroom was clean. There were no screens on the windows so when you opened the wood shutters it was open air to the courtyard. We reserved breakfasts for our mornings, but unfortunately we were up and out before the dining room opened at 8:30 am/9:00 am, so we were only able to eat one time at the hotel. The location was excellent on a wonderful street with a great coffee shop (opens early), gelato store, restaurants, bars and shopping all on our street. We walked all over Florence from our hotel and never felt like any place was too far. It was a wonderful stay!

Excellent facility. Dimitri was so friendly and bent over backwards to please. Large well appointed immaculately clean room with good breakfast. 800 yr old building. Just minuites from all historic area sites and shopping. Excellent restaurants also a few steps to just walking minutes away. Highest recommendation! A+++

Location is close to everything but away from major loud streets. Room was large and very comfortable. Dimitry is very helpful and even walked us to the nearest taxi station which is very close. Great bargain for the great location!!

Stayed here with my boyfriend for just a night but had such a lovely experience! Communication was great and the instructions for our late check in were easy to follow. The room was clean and comfortable and the surrounding area was peaceful while still having lots of dining options and being easily walkable to all of the sights and museums around the duomo. We will definitely stay again when we find ourselves back in Florence!

We had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and comfortable in a charming historic building. The manager stayed a bit late for us so could be there for our check in. The area is wonderful with many quality restaurants nearby and super close to the center. One thing to note: This is not a B&B. There is no breakfast offered. While it is true that breakfast was not mentioned in our reservation, there are pictures of breakfast in the listing and, by definition, B&B is bed and breakfast, so we were a bit confused by that. The gentleman explained that the hotel is under new management and no breakfast was offered. I think Expedia should remove B&B from the title (The hotel plaque on the building does not have B&B) and remove the breakfast photos as well. That would clear everything up. Please, do not let the lack of breakfast stop you. This is a wonderful place to stay! And there is an amazing bakery/coffee bar a block away ;)
