Simone and Annette were wonderful hosts and the property is a short walk to the Vatican. We really enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants and the morning croissants were an added treat.

Value for money. Many nice restaurants in 1km radius that are mainly filled with locals. Good connections to everywhere. Super easy check-in / checkout. Helpful and responsive hosts. Very comfortable beds!!!!

I have never had such wonderful hosts/managers in my domestic and international travels of 45 years. Simone and Anette were there to make absolutely sure to make their guests feel taken care of. I am a social person and at a midday point they were both there with me and a small family sharing life experiences for 45 minutes. What a great experience. But there was a shy couple and our hosts were sensitive to their desire to just come and go quietly. With only four rooms they are only there for several hours a day but can be easily reached with a phone call. I was free to go to my daily plans after having my coissant and espresso. The fridge was available 24 hours a day for fruit, juice and yogurt. It is a rather simple place, but well stocked, 3 minutes to the Metro and very thoughtful extras. I cannot say more about my experience at Old Kitchen. So glad I found them! Bruce P.S. I made a one time mistake of leaving my backpack in a taxi. Simone was willing to call around to all the taxi complanies to find it. I said no because I had my most important stuff and didn't want to waste the last 36 hours of my vacation.

Our stay at the Old Kitchen Vatican was great. The area is safe . It is a 25min walk to the start of the major attractions . 10 min walk to the Vatican. 2mins to the metro. The area is full of cafes restaurants and shopping.The apartment has a shared entrance and kitchen which is stocked with bread fruit cheese and juices. Fresh croissants are delivered daily. Like everywhere in Rome the facilities are old but charming and extremely clean. There is an elevator. Annette and Simone are wonderful hosts. They answer in a timely fashion are considerate and fair. I would not hesitate to book again.

Lovely cosy and clean property. We had shower in our bedroom which is very convenient. Communal kitchen was clean and tidy. 10 mins walk from Vatican, 50 mins walk from Colosseum. The host is understanding and easy to communicate with, replies promptly.

Simone and Anette are the best! They are not there 24h, but are super helpful from the minute we arrive at 12am until the day we left. What a beautiful couple! You can use the kitchen at anytime you like and we were always served the best croissants in Rome. The hotel is in an apartment block - 4th floor with a retro style lift, though the rooms are styled like hotel rooms. The room was fantastic, with great decor and character. Super comfortable stylish room, in awesome secure location. The location, transport by bus, taxi or train was fantastic. short walk to the Vatican. Extremely convenient location. We would definitely come back and stay here again!
