We stayed here for 4 nights/3 days as a mother-daughter trip. Hotel had good amenities, lovely pool area with lots of sun loungers and waking through the apartments you are the beautiful private beach (cost €6 a day to hire a lounger). Staff were great, so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Everyone said hello and particularly shout out the the two ladies on reception who went out their way to book us train tickets, arrange taxis to/from airport (including a refund after being overcharged - should be €35 each way). We had a standard twin room. Enough space for us and appreciates the fridge, tv and balcony. Air con was noisy so didn’t tend to use it, but was good for what we needed. Nice view of the town and could see the sea and the mountains. The room comes with some many complimentary toiletries, inc razor and cream, shampoo, shower gels and toothbrush/toothpaste, which was more than standard so was very impressed. Breakfast was a buffet. No hot food. Just breads, cereals, cakes, pastries etc Great location to explore the Reggio Calabria area without a car (train station is a 10 min walk) so we took a day trip to Scilla and Messina. Hotel and general area were very quiet, could be as we came to end of season so there is only really 1-2 places to eat. We ate in the restaurant one night, good food but the servers were preoccupied with a private function so they never asked if we wanted drinks or dessert. The cafe at the lido was good value and tasty panins.

Very comfortable room, great bathroom, booked the room from the ferry crossing the straits of Messina! A two minute walk to the beach. Beautiful pool. Dinner served at tables around the pool and delightful jazz (recorded) as the dinner music. We were happy to be here!

We only stayed one night and we were very satisfied. The hotel deserves its 4 star rating. The staff were friendly and efficient. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and we were very satisified with the cost and quality of both. Car parking is secure in a garage. We didn't have time to test the pool and the outside lounging area, but the area was well maintained. A good hotel that served us well as a stopover as we prepared to cross to Sicily the next morning.

When we looked on TripAdvisor, we expected a very good, decent four-star hotel and we were sadly let down. The service was not good. One example is when we had to move rooms because a pungent scent came from our bathroom. That's usually not a big deal and we can just move to the closest room without stressing out. But this time we got no help. Despite the cleanliness of the general room, there isn't enough shampoo and shower gel, there is no wifi in the room, and a working safe. The restaurant next to it was the reason why I didn't give it a two. The food is very good and I was never disappointed. The server was very friendly and the atmosphere was great.

The Regent hotel is a good hotel clean, well-decorated, and well-equipped with a private beach and a decent restaurant. But it's not far from a four-star hotel. Nice amenities like your telephone, free wifi, safe, etc. don't work. The people are happy and some are even helpful. The private beach charges extra for entrance and does not even offer beach towels. Parking on the street is difficult. Also appears to have plumbing issues. In short, it isn't worth the money. The restaurant provided excellent service and food of a high quality.

The staff were very welcoming and easy to deal with. We had an issue with the room initially that was resolved quickly. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere.

Our one night stay was fine--the rooms were pleasant, the wake up call was on time, and the staff happily made us coffee even at the ungodly hour of 4:30 am! There is free, first-come parking in front of the hotel, and inexpensive paid parking in a garage.

Decent old hotel which is very close to the beach. Air conditioning was fair at best. Staff was great, particularly Francesco, our waiter/busboy for breakfast and dinner - very charming and engaging with all 3 of us. The dinners at the hotel were good, but there isn't much else near the hotel.

Nice stay, beautiful facilities, but the neighborhood is a bit dicey, especially in the off season. Staff weren't too keen on helping find a place to eat or with any other request, and other loud guests staying up all night didn't help the situation either. More of a business hotel than a place to relax and enjoy the views...

The hotel was clean but the shower was so tiny, you couldn’t even close the door in order to fit in it. Nowhere in the description did it say there was no maid service. The mattress on the bed was so flat and probably the most uncomfortable thing I ever slept on. The TV has no service. They charge you for a beach chair. You have to carry your luggage to and from the room. This is far from a 4 star hotel and not worth the money.

The hotel staff was the highlight of this hotel, friendly warm and very accommodating. The hotel was dant and musty. We changed rooms 3 times and wound up in a room that still smelled and had ants. The breakfast was terrible! The hotel is off the beaten track halfway between Reggio Di Calabria and the ferry terminal to Messina. It is possible that an April trip (off season?) is significantly different that one during the summer months?

Assolutamente traumatico, pulizia pari a zero.

Im-regentabile.
