According to Takayama City regulations, an accommodation tax will be levied starting October 1, 2025. The tax is charged per person per night based on the accommodation fee. Less than JPY 10,000: JPY 100 per person per night. JPY 10,000 to less than JPY 30,000: JPY 200 per person per night. JPY 30,000 or more: JPY 300 per person per night. Please note that some room rates do not include the accommodation tax. In such cases, guests are required to pay the tax directly at the hotel front desk, subject to the hotel’s guidance.
