I hiked from Koyasan and found the path down from the trail to be unpassable. I went up the hill and found a Japanese message directing me to the path down to Mata's main road. The hotel staff was really friendly. I enjoyed the hot spring bath right next door. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. I came home with a lunchbox, and the owner took us to Mata in the morning to continue our journey.

The owner's family has a friendly attitude. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something to eat. This hotel is in the city of Kohechi, close to the Mata bus stop. They provided a pick-up and drop-off service. A nice and comfortable room.

Japanese-style hotel with a good atmosphere, wonderful food, and early breakfast. You get a free shuttle service from Koyasan Station and then to Koyasan and back along a beautiful road. Then at the hotel, you begin with breakfast and then move on to dinner with a real gourmet. For those who enjoy Japanese food, breakfast in the morning is really good. We could spend a week there.

My sister and I stayed in this traditional hotel for one night. Floor with elevator that looks out over a large river. It was a wonderful experience to use the bathroom outside. We got a delicious multicourse kiseki yori supper in our room, and breakfast was served in the room which was lovelyly decorated with old artifacts. The staff were very attentive and friendly, although their English was minimal.

The owner pick us up on the Kohechi trail. With a discount and transfer, we were able to use the boxspring of a nearby hotel. The owner graciously gave us a ride back to the trail in the morning. The food was very good, especially the hotpot with boar meat was the most memorable dish I had throughout the trip.

We had a long day of hiking when we left the Human Kudos Kohechi pilgrimage trail, and we were quickly picked up upon contacting nosegawa onset via phone or paying the bus station as instructed. Even though the onset is a bit old and worn, our apartment was clean and comfortable. The first-day washing up and bathing were delightful experiences after trekking all day. The meals were excellent, particularly one that was made specifically for the vegetarians in our party.
