Flights to the island’s Pulao Tioman Airport from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Airports have been suspended. The nearest major airport to the resort is Senai International Airport (141km) in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You need to board a ferry then.
By road
You need to hire a taxi or drive to the jetty to Terminal Feri Tanjung Gemok and Mersing Jetty to take a ferry to Tioman island. It takes a few hours drive to reach the dock from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Kuantan.

Alternatively, self-arrangement to Tioman Island is possible by driving or taking a land transfer from Kuala Lumpur or Singapore City to Mersing Jetty. Guests are required to self-purchase the public ferry ticket online by choosing Genting Jetty as the disembarking point on Tioman Island. Guests are encouraged to contact Japamala Resort at least 24 hours in advance for pick-up arrangements from Genting Jetty. The pick-up service can be arranged for a small fee. Kindly be informed that strictly no ad hoc pick-up arrangement is allowed. Japamala Resort is located around 10-minute boat ride from Genting Jetty.
