Bhaktapur, a charming old town in Nepal is one of my favorite cities. To fully appreciate the city's beauties, I would strongly suggest staying at Peacock Guest House for a night or two, where you can view Dattatreya Temple and other historic buildings nearby. Dunbar Square is a short walk away. The residents are welcoming and pleasant, and the route around the area felt secure. It felt like time travel to stay in a gorgeous, yet modern heritage structure that dates back to 700 years. We enjoyed hanging out from the window in our Bantha suite. We enjoyed the low-level staircases that took us up to our room and the lovely, cosy, and tidy room. The blanket is appreciated. The cabin's appearance is nice, very pleasant, inviting, and spotless. Very intimate and relaxing ambiance. The interior furnishings and structure's architecture were fantastic. In the early mornings, temple bells could wake you up, but I believe it elevates the experience. Great music, excellent cuisine, excellent coffee, and a friendly, welcoming proprietor. A memorable experience.

The building has so much history in it and the decorating is perfect. My room was so cute and cozy (pictures were very accurate). They put electric blankets under the sheets, so the bed was awesome. The family that owns the hotel is warm and inviting. They were great hosts and very helpful. Upon checkin, they were flexible because I had to change my length of stay. When I was leaving, they went out of there way to help make sure the taxi driver knew the exact drop off location I needed. They have a cafe and daily breakfast. They also have guide services and bikes, but I didn’t get to use either. I thought the location was good too. I will say watch out if you are extremely tall, showering can be a bit creative ;-) and if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs bc of the nature of the building. All worth it for such a fabulous stay. I will be coming back here if I’m lucky enough to visit again. I highly recommend it!

This location is really unique, and we have a lovely guest house which is run by a wonderful and supportive family to stay here. The lovely garden restaurant and cafe is really good and serve delicious cappuccinos.

We will definitely return to this hotel the next time. I heartily endorse this hotel and restaurant. The location on Dattatraya Square is fantastic, with magnificent temples and local culture. We especially appreciate the professionalism of the manager and staff. The building is authentic near-style. The interior restaurant and bedrooms are beautiful, clean and very comfortable. They also provide support and information about the region.

I had to stop while exploring the nearby temples for some nice tea. Peh is the place to be. The cafe is cozy and inviting. After a long day of walking and exploring, a delightful tea and coconut cake made my day brighter. The waiter was kind and welcoming. You may be seated outdoors or inside. I chose the inside. The location is very unique and I promise you will enjoy your tea or whatever beverage pleases you.

Our friend recommended us to stay here for the night. Great central location, quiet. However, the price is quite expensive. This is a huge, tastefully decorated en suite room in a 15 th century structure. The breakfast is very tasty in the center courtyard.

I stayed for 2 nights and the guesthouse provided good level of comfort in terms of room size and facilities. I had a room facing the front and it was a bit noisy, mainly from the stray dogs. The breakfast served at the main Peacock Guesthouse, and the breakfast was very good. Not a buffet style, but the choice and quality of the breakfast was great. Great location too, it’s situated a stone throw from the beautiful Duttatraya Square. the proprietors Arun & Indra were excellent and very friendly and helpful.

Expedia me descontó puntos acumulados pero repercutió en el tipo de habitación, a peor de la reservada. Suele hacer este tipo de engaños al cliente y al hostelero. Cada vez más convencido de reservar directamente con el hotel. Este hotel es muy recomendable, el problema una vez más es con las triquiñuelas de Expedia.
