A fantastic Tuesday evening, devoted to the anniversary celebration drinks. Really warm greeting. Max made a wonderful cocktail, which was followed by a delectable supper. After sharing the pork loin as an entree, we also had sirloin and duck, which was delicious! We were followed by chocolate bombs! Overall, a wonderful dining experience, thanks.

The hotel orville is a great stopover spot that is conveniently located near the city center with car parking nearby. My wife and I decided not to go out on the first evening, and we had the best time. We began with delicious cocktails at the Bamboo Tiger Jazz and Cocktail Bar. A skilled mixologist created predinner drinks that were a great fun way to start the night before visiting the Follies restaurant in a neighboring room of this historic building. The food was outstanding along with a selection of local wines, and the customer service provided by our waiter was outstanding. The rooms are comfortable, continental breakfasts are plentiful, the staff is friendly, and the complimentary glass of port offered to guests at the end of the evening is a nice touch. The entire experience, from the cocktail bar to the Follies restaurant to the enjoyable stay, makes this hotel an excellent stopover and relax for a day or two while exploring Blenheim.

The cocktail bar is in a fantastic location in Blenheim. Max is a magician who creates drinks based on your preferences and dislikes. Emmalouise is a wonderful fun and effective cook. The restaurant Follies provided delicious food and wines. We were in a group of four couples, and two of those couples had rooms with a large queen bed and a single bed. Unfortunately, having a single bed in the room made it very challenging to access and move around the room. I was specifically requested that we have only one king and queen bed if I stayed as a couple again. Every day, a complimentary port decanter was delivered to the corridor outside our rooms.

We chose to remain for two nights because we had to go to Blenheim for business. Since the hotel had a deal, we had booked it directly. A lovely Irish lady greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Our apartment, which was quite roomy and nicely furnished, was shown to us. Although a little tiny, the bathroom was also compact. We had breakfast food in the refrigerator and laid out beautifully on the table. The space was warm and welcoming. For dinner, we went downstairs and first had drinks at the Tiger Bar. The bartender was fantastic, greeted us. We had such a good night thanks to his blending of cocktails. The only thing we could complain about for supper was that we had ordered entrees but did not receive them. The new waitress only had been there for two nights so it was a little mixed up. It was nevertheless very lovely. We then decided to eat at the restaurant the following night after spending the day out on Saturday. Once more, the service was excellent, and the cuisine was excellent. This time, we had our entree. Checking out went smoothly and correctly. The employees are friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful place to stay.
