Our stay at Casa dos Carvalhos was excellent. The place is sparkling clean and the design of the the guest house is neat and elegant. High ceilings and natural wood create the atmosphere of upscale leaving. We would like to specifically thank the staff at Casa dos Carvalhos for their hospitality, we felt welcome there.

Very nice and clean facility. The property host Ana is very gracious and friendly. Room decor is modern and pleasing. Upper rooms have balconies with nice view of the city. Kitchen facilities onsite if required. Some walking involved to get into the historic center.

Would recommend this to couples, solo travelers and families. This hotel is perfect for the beach and close to the beach. This hotel has a nice hotel staff. There are cafes and restaurants downstairs. The lift service here was a plus.

The location is strategically located and has a nice decorated apartment. The kitchen is excellent. On the patio, we enjoyed the breakfast, takeaway Indian meal, and wine. The beach area and walks up the hill are both excellent features.

This hotel is wonderful. Extremely clean, antique furniture is well maintained with modern bathroom. Wood parlay floor. Refrigerator is great. The room has hot water and wine glasses. We were in room 18's balcony with corner window of the top floor. The staff, Carlos and Paulo, were both very friendly and helpful. Also, the owners were friendly. The room is not in season so it can be used as a last-minute getaway. Exceptionally nice location.

This place is good, but it's important to be aware that even if you book with a credit card, the owner only wants cash. It's also important to be prepared to secure your own parking place in this large beach town. The parking place is public, close to the garage.

I came here on the last night because when I entered the apartment I didn't get a free breakfast. I found that the room noises during night because the bar sounds really noisy at night and when we stayed at the bar for two nights, the customer sounds and they all want to sing songs. Despite the condition of the room the condition of the apartment is not like the picture and not very clean. The location is in a square near the beach and restaurants.

When we arrived we were told that our booking through Hotels.com did not exist. Obviously a breakdown in communication between the two companies. I don’t know who gets the blame, but it cost us a lot of grief.
