Jude was an extremely helpful and friendly host, and she even organised reservations at local restaurants and provided many great recommendations for our 2 night stay. Very comfortable and clean rooms and well located on the main street within walking distance of many local shops and restaurants. Thank you

Awesome stopover! We enjoyed a lovely night on the deck with the landlords and a great sundown. Next morning enjoyed the self made marmelades from the garden that Jude uses for her stunning breakfast. We loved it!

Good quality B&B, that has been running since 2014. Long enough that the owners (who emigrated from the UK), have sorted out any glitches, but recent enough so that the rooms and facilities still feel new. Owners are friendly, and provide good local advice. It’s clean, and the bed is comfortable and a good size. Please take garden, and deck on top of room to take in the sun. Walking distance from the centre of town. I struggle to find anything bad to say. Not a 5* hotel, but then it’s not intended to be.

Strong recommendation. Travelers Rest is a budget guesthouse, not a resort or a conference hotel. That said, it is among the best examples of a guesthouse that I have ever stayed in. Everything looks and feels new, from the comfortable bed, to the rooftop deck, to the paint on the walls. The owners Jude and Bryan are lovely people who will go out of their way to help you. Nitty gritty - the internet is quite fast for a satellite connection but it will drop out occasionally, as is to be expected in a rural area. Hot water is exceptionally hot and not lacking. Quiet at night with little to no noise from the road or other guests. I killed two crickets in my room over the course of several nights stay, but if that bothers you then what on earth are you doing traveling in a rural area anyway? Does not reflect on cleanliness; everything was fresh and clean. Again, strong recommendation for leisure or business travel.

Our hosts, Brian and Jude were really friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Although not huge, it was perfectly adequate and good value for money. We will definitely stay at Travellers Reat again in the future and would recommend it.

Verreweg het beste B&B wat we hebben gedaan tijdens onze 3 weken trip door ZA en! WiFi deed het tenminste voortreffelijk!

We booked this B&B a few months back, having decided to travel through the Swartberg Pass on the way from Oudtshoorn, back to Cape Town. Sadly the Swartberg Pass was closed due to recent floods. However, we took an alternative route and encountered a real gem in Prince Albert. Credit is due to Jude and Bryan who own and run this B&B. This B&B met all of our expectations of what a B&B should and more. Not the most expensive, luxuriour or fussiest of B&B's, yet as is often the case with B&B's versus hotels, it is the the personalities of the hosts that make an overnight stay something exceptional and memorable. It had all we needed and we loved staying there and we would have stayed longer, if we could have changed our itinerary. We totally recommend this B&B as an "outback" destination B&B, because of the hosts, surrounding restaurants and scenery. There is indeed something for everyone.

Beautifully decorated room, very clean, very modern. Comfortable veranda to relax on and the garden is just so tranquil. The owners have thought of every little detail that would make a stay comfortable. We can highly recommend Travellers Rest. Will definitely stay again.

Jude and Brian are great hosts and have created a lovely oasis for their guests. Our room was small but was well equipped with a great shower and a nice patio outside. The rooftop deck was relaxing and great for star gazing. Try to eat at The Gallery and have breakfast at The Lazy Lizard. Be warned if you visit on Sunday almost everything is closed. You cannot even get gas. There was a bright light shining into our room each night that we could not turn off. I am sure if we had asked it could have been fixed but we kept forgetting. Great stop. The rooms are set back from the road so there is complete silence. There were even facecloths. Thank you both for your hospitality.
