The bill tunnel makes a good stopover in France. Despite being out of season, the front rooms are far from the road. I can't imagine much nighttime traffic here, but the back rooms benefit from a view of the mountain and stream noise to help you sleep. Around midnight when tables and chairs are centered so they are neat and ready for the morning service, there is a lot of noise because the hotel has a renowned bar on the ground level at the southernmost end of the hotel. The restaurant's northernmost meal selection was excellent and excellent value for money. To tone up tired legs and increase the appetite, off-the-road walking is available near the hotel.

I will suggest this hotel to you who are traveling on a budget. There is a white water river at the back of the hotel. The hotel has a good location, and they provide free breakfast. The bathroom is minute, about three meters long, and the breakfast is nice and big. The staff was friendly, and very welcoming.

The location is quite strategic, near to a train station, shopping, and the mountains. The location is also comfortable. The only drawback was the typical Spanish! Evening meal times, such as late breakfast till 9 am. There is a lot of vegetarian options, not ideal if you want to start the day early. Otherwise the staff is very polite and friendly. In October, the hotel was practically empty.

Whenever I travel from Spain to England and back, I always stop by this hotel. The bill tunnel is only a few miles down the mountain from this hotel, which is in a nice setting. The hotel is immaculate, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is excellent. All for a very affordable price. The hotel is also extremely warm during the winter months. A really lovely spot to stay.
