In September, my wife and I and another couple stayed here while riding our motorcycle. El has is in a beautiful countryside district surrounded by mountains and gorgeous countryside. The hotel is typical of a small family run posed with a homey feeling, a collection of geese, chickens, and a very friendly dog, whom I believe is called Leila. The owners, oscar and carmen, are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble, and they speak far better English than my horribly inadequate spanish, so we were able to communicate. We had a large comfortable room at the top of the house, with a large enclosed balcony that was ideal for storing the bike equipment and drying laundry. Also, there were two children's beds in the eaves behind a curtain, a sofa bed in the main room, and an extra shower room. The hotel has its own pool, which was a welcome relief after a hot days ride, and sun loungers on the terrace with a covered logic to retreat from the full sun. The cuisine and wine are both excellent, and the restaurant is excellent. The largest wood-fired grilled bone steak, which was the best I've ever had, and the nicest we've ever had, to begin with, consisted of a well-loaded bread basket with tomato, olive oil, and coffee

This hotel may be an ideal alternative if you don't fancy staying in the busy city of notes. It's midway down the twisty ca 184, but it's worth it regardless. The hotel itself consists of several other buildings, but there are no nearby eateries or bars. Having said that, the hotel has a ton of food and drink options. The food is of very high caliber and is freshly prepared from a tiny kitchen. We tried the tiny pool even though it was freezing in September when we visited. Im sure it would be a godsend in the warmer months, but sadly, flies plague you. There is no secure parking for bikes as a result, but because it is so out of the way, you don't need to worry.

El royal is a place where we stayed for 2 nights as a family and also has adjacent rooms. The rooms were tidy, nice, and well furnished. The breakfast menu was a typical continental menu with cereals, croissants, toast, fresh orange juice, ham, etc. We ate in the restaurant both nights and it's worth ensuring you reserve a table because it is frequented by nonresidents. Our food was fantastic and the wines that were served were very pleasant.

We stayed here as a couple for two nights. The trip to the motel is a truly fantastic traversal of the Hermit gorge. The lodging area is charmingly rural and picturesque. Our room was tidy but very roomy, only having a bed, a small table, and a chair. The restroom is also rather modest. However, this doesn't matter because the scenery is so beautiful that you will be outside all the time. There are accommodations with balconies, and I wish we had reserved one in advance. Our room overlooked a field with chickens and geese, which was a constant source of entertainment! Despite their little English, our hosts were quite pleasant and hospitable. The incredible cuisine at this motel is the greatest feature! Dinner had a large selection, and everything we ate was fantastic. On both nights, we ate there and then enjoyed a little drink in the bar afterwards, it was simply beautiful. It was one of our favorite destinations on our two-week tour of the region, and we would return.

What a treasure. Everyone, including lola the dog, was very friendly. Lovely, quiet, and comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurants serve delicious food, wine, and coffee. We asked for local baileys and large cointreau after dinner, and both were served with a grin. Try a little Spanish, and the borders are immediately removed. Finally, the pool is clean and comfortable. I was delighted by this location.
