If you are fit, the climb is not too difficult. We were led to the bottom of the stairs by another kind man after I checked in. We then started to climb. As the reception area appears to be more of a tourist information center, the receptionist seemed more interested in doing her makeup and making us feel unimportant to her. The first few stairs are so steep, but for those of you who are fit, there are not too many of them. Sadly, we were right at the top of the resort, so we felt like we had far too much climbing to get to our room. We finally made it to the room. The room is a pleasant size, but the shower is directly over the toilet, and we have had showers next to, but never directly over the toilet. Its a tough job. Because there were gaps between the roof and the walls, and huge cracks in the front door, mosquitoes would have been rife, and we did not have the advertised mosquito net. My husband and I didn't feel comfortable staying here, so we decided to look elsewhere. When we returned downstairs, we were informed we couldn't receive a refund. We had reserved for the second night, which I felt was unfair since we had good reasons not to stay. I would not suggest this hotel. It is incredibly expensive for a basic hut. The views are spectacular from the window, but

We spent two nights here and thought it had a decent pricequality ratio. Because to be honest, the beach is far better if youre on the railroad than having your day journey back and forth. Its crucial to note the hotels inability to locate the beach check as the bottom level. We noticed a few people attempting to carry their luggage up the stairs, which is not advised. If you find the check at the bottom, theyll cart your baggage up for you much easier. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable. I found the mattress oddly crammed in plastic. Also, the balcony door self-locking, I am sure theres more than a few people locked out and stranded on the balcony. The view was good, compared to other reviews Ive read, I was a little underwhelmed. Looking out over a small valley and what appears to be a local garbage dump and a few lowest houses are below the resort. Finally, what I found to be quite annoying was that the bathroom was below the room in a windowless room. There were exposed electrical wires next to the shower, which wasnt excellent. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, and I didnt expect much. That said, for the price, it was an acceptable option. However, for a price of not much more, you may be closer to railway west beach, which is by far

The price was very expensive, so we felt this place was overpriced. Also, the staff's generosity was apparent. The stairs are not too awful, and there are staff standing by to lift your bag up in a winch trolly if you check in at the waterfront desk. The patio offered an incredible view, and the staff was really friendly. We paid more for a mountain view, but the room's quality left us disappointed. There is a clothing rail and three hangers, but theres nowhere to hang towels, wet clothes, etc. Theres no place to hang towel, wet clothes, etc. Theres a clothes rail and three hangers, but the location needs hooks. We couldn't use the balcony unless we wanted to lock ourselves out or leave the door open for mosquitoes to run in. When it rained, water trickled into the room under the balcony door. The plastic undershirt on the mattress was offensive.

We took a ponytail boat from Ao Hang to Railway beach. We were dropped off on the west side and had to walk 300 meters to the other side. The reception is approximately 200 meters from the actual resort, but the receptionist will send staff to help you find your room and carry your luggage. A beautiful view from the room! Good english speaking staff and easy communication with receptionist. The only negative thing was that it was hard to understand where we were supposed to eat breakfast. Instead of showing us where they just pointed randomly and we had to walk around and guess where it was. Also at two occasions when I asked for breakfast that I already had paid for, and they said they only had coffee. Im pleased the staff assisted in carrying my luggage, and they have a cart that transports your bags up the stairs. Its 134 steps uptown, which is also quite steep, and be aware that there are many glass pieces on the road bow the stair. I got pieces of glass stuck in the sole of my shoes, but fortunately it didn't pass through. I wouldn't recommend wearing flip-flops on the way there. Even if it feels like a hassle to walk up and down and the walking up the stair is literally breath taking, I believe it's worthwhile living at a hilltop resort. I wouldn't recommend staying if you are old or have a hard time taking physical

Great view of the sea; friendly stafff; simple breakfast included. Air conditioner made cracking noises (likely as new). Steps may be off putting to some, definitely older visitors. Definitely value for money!
