I cant say enough good things about this hostel! It is among the best there is! From the most welcoming hostel staff you will ever meet to the breathtaking views of the turkish skyline. After a day of exploring, the private room was ideal because it had its own air conditioning unit that could cool to freezing temperatures. Everything you could possibly want to see in Istanbul is within walking distance. Within 30 minutes of walking, you can even cross the bridge into Asia. The hostel also assists with airport transportation arrangements.5.0/518 Feb 2024

I spent a better portion of the week there, and i was pleased with my decision. Both private rooms and dorms are spotless and cozy. All major tourist attractions are within walking distance of this ideal location. We were made to feel very welcome and taken care of by the staff, who were extremely helpful and kind. They were able to plan incredibly lastminute trips to cappadocia and provided some excellent recommendations for things to do in Istanbul. I would wholeheartedly suggest choosing the second home as if you want to stay while visiting turkey. The rooftop terrace was my favorite feature because it was primarily suited for socializing and meeting fellow travelers in the evenings. Although ive only wish your guitar had strings and was functional, we managed fine with the pink ukulele.5.0/531 Aug 2023

My second home! I cant say enough good things about second homes. It was reasonably priced, cozy, and clean, with a communal roof terrace and lounge that was really cool. The location is not far from public transportation and within walking distance to many of Istanbuls mustsee areas. Second home is in i hearty location. They are truly the best, they are so inclusive and make everyone feel at ease. Alena cooked dinners which were delicious and plentiful and facilitated gaining knowledge about the lovely staff and other guests. She was the first member of staff ive ever met, making me feel comfortable right away. Kerem took us on walked for free to some really trendy spots that he would never have known about. Ate in the coolest traditional restaurant with fresh bread being made in front of you. Youd have never known it was his first time serving as guiding. Hes incredibly beautiful! Semira is the ideal host, she made me felt very welcome and really takes care of everyone. When it came to their birthday, her efforts went above and beyond to make sure everyone was included if they wanted to be and also made merry about visitors. Her dancing and pub crawl were led by her, the girl has moves. Thank you so much for having me second house. I will miss you all.4.8/59 Sep 2024

This hostel has brought me so much joy during a difficult time in my life. The staff are amazing, you really feel like youre in sytaya, i feel as though ive been in an unknown place. Beds are comfortable, location close to all the biggest landmarks in the city and they serve dinner every night which is simply sublime. I had a great time here! The staff here were really friendly, welcoming, and helpful, it really felt like they were looking out for you and that they really loved their job. Aleyna, whose name is particularly on the staff, stands out in my mind in this regard! I also met countless other guests who were traveling around the area, which greatly enhanced my trip. The atmosphere at the hostel really makes it easy to socialize and get to know other people from aroundtheworld. I will definitely stay here again the next time i visit turkey!.4.8/520 May 2024

This has to be the hostel you choose if youre going to turkey! This hostel is the best ive ever stayed in, in my opinion. It is so close to everything you want to see. Family dinners, fantastic atmosphere, rooftop terrace with an amazing view, pub crawls and boat parties have it all. Second home is the ideal location for you if youre a traveler who likes to meet new people, hang out, and make plans with other travelers. This location was unquestionably my favorite of all the four hostels i stayed in in turkey and turkey. They have excellent social areas and the friendliest staff. People are always socializing and hanging out in the lounge during the day and up on the terrace at night. As resulting, meeting other tourists was quite simple for me. The Stufs are always ready to help you with anything you need, such as traveling, eating, shopping, etc. They give you an apple tea and a friendly smile. Youll always feel the warm atmosphere here. Every morning and evening, you can eat homemade food. There is suited location for travelers, walk around the majority of the city. The hostel is the best ive ever stayed at in my life! Ive been to more than 20 countries and always stay in hostels (at least 50 by now) and second home hostel in turkey is truly the greatest. The location is clean all the time and the breakfast, dinner, rooftop and all other amenities are 10/10. I wish every hostel was like secondhome. Also, the people running the hostel, including the owner himself, John, are the absolute best! Everyone feels like family and they truly look after you. They have plenty of activities and tours to book, rooms are paramount, and prices are very fair. Do not waste your time booking another hostel i personally remained for 5 days to witness it. The staff members are exceptionally friendly, providing guests with onsite dining opportunities that allow guests to interact with other travelers. Overall, i highly recommend this place! I spent six nights there and had a great time! The guys at the hostel were five stars, and ive met some wonderful people. Activities included preparing scrumptious barbecues, boat parties, or pub crawls.
