A budget-friendly hotel close to lots of transit options (several bus routes, plus walking distance to Russel Square and Holborn stations). Absolutely ideal for solo travellers! Walking distance to a number of neighbourhood pubs, and a variety of other restaurants, ranging from global fast food chains, to upscale “night out” sorts of places. The neighbourhood is tourist friendly, quiet by central London standards (don’t expect silence anywhere in a city with 10 million people). Whenever I’m in London I make a point of spending a few nights here.

this hotel is incredibly convenient to so many things - british museum, restaurants, bus stops, bus tours & the metro. i felt safe walking to any of these things. i had a tiny room but i didn't spend much time in it. london was colder than usual so the master heat had been turned off, however they had a portable heater that was brought to my room. toiletries & hair dryer were present in the room & the cleaning staff asked if you needed anything when they saw you in the hall. there is a lovely bar & restaurant although i didn't have any food. it has limited hours which didn't coincide with my time. however the bar is open of which i did partake. the most impressive thing about this hotel is a front desk person named siobhan. she was perfect for a first impression. when you walked to the desk she stopped conversing with her colleagues (unlike some others) and gave you her full attention. she was full of good information about stores, restaurants & the local area. if i was a hotel manager i would want her at my front desk. she was absolutely lovely!

Schon bei der Begrüßung wurden wir, da wir kein Frühstück im Hotel gebucht hatten, von der Rezeptionsangestellten auf die alternativen Frühstücksmöglichkeiten in der direkten Nachbarschaft hingewiesen. Wir wurden mit Stadtplänen versorgt und kamen direkt nett ins Gespräch. Das gebuchte Zweibett-Zimmer zum Garten hin war geräumig und besonders hat uns gefallen, dass Dusche und WC in zwei Räumen untergebracht waren. Ein Waschbecken fehlte leider im Raum mit der Toilette, aber da kann man sich für die paar Tage auch mit Hygienetüchern behelfen. Das Bad war groß genug, allerdings fehlten Ablageflächen. Die Handtücher wurden täglich gewechselt. Einzig eine Aufhängmöglichkeit für Jacken oder anderes fehlte im Zimmer. Hier könnte leicht Abhilfe geschaffen werden, da es sowieso eine komplett nackte Wand gab.

Second time staying here. This time in a garden view single. It was actually a bit louder on the garden view side as I could hear a rumbling sound on and off. Maybe the tube? I got used to it fine. If I stay again I will ask for a room facing the Main Street and on the 6th floor again. Staff and lovely. Rooms are clean. The safe is so helpful. Breakfast buffet is great with lots of selection. Staff in the restaurant are very professional and make you feel welcome. Love the location and felt very safe as a solo female traveler.

So impressed with this hotel! Location was excellent steps from the British Museum, tube stations, a lovely park, and dining options. I was in a single room and the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and very quiet at night. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I felt so welcome. The breakfast was way more than I expected and the breakfast area is charming with a lovely view over a garden courtyard. No suggested improvements!

Die Lage des Hotels ist großartig. Man kommt sehr gut zu Fuß oder mit den Öffentlichen zu allen sehenswerten Orten. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und das Personal sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I loved everything about the property, including my room. Staff were very attentive and polite. I had the breakfast option, but personally found it too bright and loud so I didn’t stay long for breakfast. I travelled solo, so I felt like a stuck out amongst the other guests. Otherwise, I would absolutely stay again! Will be recommending to others!
