Room was available earlier than expected, so that was a bonus. Warm and friendly welcome, immediately shown to our room. Exactly as described, and perfect for our stay. Lovely and clean, very comfortable beds, nice powerful shower too.

Chapter Two is right in the heart of Malton, close to shops & restaurants. The rooms are spacious, with quirky decor & immaculately clean. Chapter Two is a lively bar for a G&T or cocktail, the staff are very friendly. We cycled to Malton and were abke to store our bikes in the secure lobby throughout our stay. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and modern. It was extremely quiet and we loved the central location. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we highly recommend this for a place to stay in Malton.

My boyfriend and I went on a last-minute weekend getaway a few weeks ago and found this motel online. We were drawn to Milton due to the food market that was taking place that weekend, and fortunately, this motel is conveniently located in the heart of the city. We arrived on Friday evening and were welcomed by the wonderful staff at the crowded bar, they took us to our room and showed us where everything was. The other staff members were also friendly as we passed. The room was pleasant, though there were a few minor scuffs and marks here and there, but it wasn't meant to be a fivestar hotel, so that wasn't an issue. There was a lovely selection of tea and coffee and bottled water, which was a nice touch, and there was more tea and coffee in the corridor if you needed more. Our room was close to the smoking shelter at the back of the pub, so it was noisy when a group of people sat around it. However, as the bar closed at 11 p.m., it wasn't a problem because it wasn't too late. On the second night, we chose to go for a nightcap and met Rory, the lovely proprietor, who took the time to make us feel welcomed. Everyone on the staff was lovely, and the locals who sat near us were also very friendly

Milton is an excellent market town and finding a centrally located lodging can be difficult. The positive things about chapter 2 include the quiet location, good wifi, and great small extras, such as bottled water, biscuits, and a separate shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. The disadvantages are that no one is present when the corresponding bar closes, thin curtains block outside lamp light, poorly fitted carpets, and a tiny to. Breakfast is not included on the spot, but there are many places in Milton County where coffee seems to open first, but searching in the pouring rain could be a pain.

I was brought to my room for the evening by the friendly bar personnel when I got to chapter 2. I had booked a double superior for one night, and I have to say I was a little disappointed when I got there. There was plenty of tea and coffee, as well as bottled water, which I found to be lovely and refreshing. However, I had some issues with the heating while I was there. I initially was unable to turn it on, and the owner who visited to look at it offered me a portable heater. Unfortunately, the heating came on later that evening, so I could turn off the portable, but I was still unable to set the radiator temperature. It appears that the room's cleanliness was also poor, with a lot of cobwebs and a shabby carpet on the edges. Although Chapter 2 has an excellent location, has plenty of tea and coffee, and has nice, accommodating employees, it could use a little more attention to detail when cleaning. The owner did respond to my request when I brought the heating problem to them right away, and I appreciate the owner.

Overall Emily is doing a great job at Chapter Two. A friendly and helpful greeting and a comfortable room and bed in a quiet annex. One problem in room 1 was the lack of electrical sockets. For business travellers there needs to be at least one by the desk for a laptop etc. There are no breakfast facilities here but to be fair she did point me to The Patisserie just down the road which was excellent. Enjoyed, will recommend

Staff were very friendly especially Bethany when we checked in, she took time so show us where to park and where the best places to eat were. Room was clean and comfortable, and had jockey paraphernalia in the entrance hall which I enjoyed being a horse racing fan! The bar itself does not do any food and we arrived about 9:30pm and really struggled to get anything to eat, in the end the Thai restaurant cooked a meal for us but we were the only ones in there so it felt a bit awkward.

The accomodation was fine. My only complaint was about parking.. Arriving inthe afternoon, I was told it was ok to park on the car park at the front. Fortuneately, I went to the car at 7.15am, and found my car blocked in with market stalls
