The dorm beds are pods with curtains so you feel comfortable and safe while sleeping. I had a great first few weeks living in scotland, but it also works well for id like to stay here again. Thank you to all the staff and people ive met while staying at code. Sarah hosted burns night which was great thank you. Huge thanks to the guys who cooked too, shamefully he couldnt get everyones names. All pod types have lights, usb ports for charging x 2, there are lots of plugs in the rooms as well if you are ufc girls (they sell usp adapters for about ps 3). Earplugs are available, eye masks, and unless you only stay one night and forget, you can also buy ota and toothpaste kit. Towels can be rented, shower gel is in use in showers that provide good pressure for washing thick hair! There are plenty of hair dryers available for loan. There is crockery, kettle, toaster, hobs on the kitchen floor, microwave, filtered water taps (although the tap water in this part of english is elite, so dont deprive yourself. You can use the wifi because it is so secure. If you need to call home or work, its great. Thanks code, very grateful for everything.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and i would return on my next trip to edinburgh. I had incredibly enjoyable time there. The two women at the front desk who helped me greatly were especially helpful and kind, which they didnt name! The sheets and pods were immaculate and very cozy. Particularly for relocating, there was also surprisingly much seclusion. There was occasionally chilly temperatures in the room, but the fan wasnt very helpful. This might not be suitable for you if you are also light sleepers, as noise will be made because it is primarily occupied by my roommates. It was one of the hostels that ive ever experienced, so this is typical of all hostel accommodations. My personal sleep was excellent, just like with all lodgings. Although the kitchen and common areas were excellent overall, despite my rooms being considerate, noise would be produced because its essentially naive. Showers and restrooms worked well and were spotless. You couldnt ask for better location in terms of location, therefore it stood out as it has visitors frequent. As lone female travelers frequently travel alone, its also safe because visiting this area is popular with tourists. However, while ill not particularly enjoy the lockers, they were safe, you must know how to use them correctly, thus make sure you read the instructions carefully.

I would definitely come back to this hotel again. The location is so strategic because it can be reached by taxi. The breakfast is also good. The room is very cozy and very comfortable, with lights, usb sockets, and curtains for privacy. I had a sleepy night in the hostel. But the breakfast is okay, only sweet stuff for vegans.

This place is in a perfect location. The receptionist was really helpful, and the place itself was lovely. Hot water is always available. I tried the pod experience for the first time, it was comfortable enough, even the majority of guests had incredibly kind and courteous attitudes. There is also constant cleaning going on.

The only drawback is that it wont be in your pod, rather in the room. Its hard to believe i got such a good place to sleep, such as if it were for 25 pounds, with such great staff, and in such an excellent location. Each pod has its own light, small stand, courtesan, or usb socket, plus you have lockers for your belongings in each pod. Note that the usp charger is very slow, ive left my phone charging for the entire night and it only increased in size 75%. Outside the pod itself, it is preferable to use the standard, type g socket. The fact that everything will be outside your apartment rather than inside your house is the only downside. Another thing drew me most was that keys and codes were used to control everything, which made everything much simpler and faster. Everything was so simple and quicker because everything worked with codes and passwords rather then keys. Both the shower temperature and pressure were excellent, while the bathrooms are immaculate. Since the locker doesnt have much space, this is ideal for one to ten weeks of stays, but they are enough for

The staff is very kind and everything is clean. The shared kitchen is great. You are directly on the royal mile. I will come back at any time. Already miss it.

I will definitely come back for 23 days friend. Located in a great location near pubs, castles, and railway stations. Ambience is cool, accommodation is correct. Can't complain.

I really like this place. The Pods are comfortable, feel secure, and have charging facilities (not 3 pin, only usb). The bed is comfortable. Common toilet and shower facilities are clean and tidy. Hot showers in private cubicles with body wash provided. Excellent location on the royal mile 0.5 miles from the castle. Refreshments provided by the hostel (Alcoholic, nonalcoholic, Sweets, chocolate, or crackers.

A fascinating and unique building with a friendly staff and a great location on the royal mile next to Gilbert Cathedral and an easy walk to the castle and new town. Close to bars and restaurants in the old town, 10 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley station.

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and i was very satisfied. The location is right in the middle of the royal mile, with incredibly comfortable common areas for working or grabbing coffee, as well as ensuring reassurance throughout the day. You can sleep soundly and securely without being in anyones room thanks to the individual room codes and private pods. Excellent, spotless bathrooms with highquality rain showers are also available. They also provide board games, whiskey tastings, onsite breakfast for 6 pounds, an extensive breakfast, board game, free walking tour, which was primarily aimed at learning about the citys history. Special thanks go out to nicky for being such enigmatic, insightful, knowledgeable tour guide!.

I think its a good choice, and i would gladly stay again as he is able to socialize, cook some meals on budget, and still have incredibly good nights sleep. A brandnew, highend hostel. The room is nice and clean, clearly designed just for sleeping and not much else, which is great - everyone in my room was very respectful, there was barely any talk or noise in the room itself, so ive had no trouble going to bed early or lying down! The common area has sway and is clearly where all the social activity occurs. There were quite fewer people there, mostly young professionals rather than students (perhaps this is reflective of the hostels price range?. Sara(h) taking the free walling tour is fantastic. I also enjoyed the coffee walking tour, with free coffee included, as you can see the buildings underground structure. My only complaint is that the kitchen is limited in use in morning because they need space to prepare their breakfast. As compared to my student days, if you are savvy, you will be happier to stay here again.

Best hostel for budget trips and very friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay. People from different parts of the world were there and I had a very nice experience. Most tours start at the hostel's entrance.

This place is a great location. Right in the heart of the city. I spent three nights in i pods in courtroom section, and it worked perfectly for me. It was very clean and cozy, the staff was really nice, there was ambiance around it, etc. Nikky, who is quite knowledgeable about the history of edinburgh, also joined me on the guided tour, which was both fascinating and entertaining. This location receives ten out of 10.

The location is excellent, the communal kitchen is wellmaintained, and the fridges are something i wasnt expecting. I would strongly recommend staying. The best feature was that the front desk provided sleeping masks and earplugs, as if you were in a pod, everyone was up at various times of the night and early morning.

This is the best dorm ive ever been to, in my opinion. The shower was clean and comfortable, and everything was immaculate. It was also nice that they provided us with free earplugs and eye masks.
