This place is recommended if you stay in this place during off-term time. This is a cost-effective place to stay. I strongly recommend this. The internet connection is superior to that I had at home in Essex, it is university standard. There are lots of options for breakfast in this hotel. The location is also excellent. The rooms don't have bathrooms, but for the price you pay, this is not a problem.

Budget lodging, 72 for twin rooms. Basic but clean, bed comfortable. The downside of sharing bathrooms and showers may be 6 rooms per facility. We first used the showers in the morning and they were great, if a number of others used them before you, maybe not so good! The breakfast was excellent and I gave it a 3 to 4 rating, with a wide variety from continental to cooked!.

The price is worth it with the quality of service and facilities. Breakfast is available in the basement wood-paneled refectorium, which is really fantastic. Breakfast features smoked fish on request as well as the typical cereals, fruit, cheese, and cold meat. The location is excellent, being near the bus stop and not too far from the beach or other tourist attractions. It is very affordable as a hostel and is located in a student hall of residence. The room was on the top floor with a stunning view over the golf courses and the west sands. But the coffee is not to my taste. The location is excellent because it is close to the bus stop and the beach or the other tourist attractions.

The location is 5 minutes by walk to beach and golf course. I stayed here with my grandson for several days. The service from the staff here was very good.

Very well located to visit all parts of the magnificent it andrews. Basic accommodation, clean and well maintained, all you need. Breakfast delicious, everything you can think of is accommodated. Very friendly and accommodating staff. A great place to stay.

It's a student hall of residence so amenities and decor are very basic as expected, but you can't complain for the price, especially in the centre of St. Andrews in high season! A bargain really. Minor gripes - the shared bathroom(s) have very loud electric hand dryers that sound like a vacuum cleaner and can be heard several rooms away.. The lights in the corridors and bathrooms are extremely bright, in the blueish spectrum and permanently on, so not conducive to maintaining melatonin levels if you need to go to the bathroom at night. Suprised that this wasn't a design consideration from an elightened H&S perspective in a hall of residence. Layout of the rooms is a little bizzare, no bedside table so necessary to move desk lamp to beside socket and balance it on top of bed post.. Breakfast excellent (full choice of healthy and unhealthy options from porridge to fried dead animal bits, as well as croissants, toast, nuts & seeds and pretty much everything else). Coffee unfortunately awful however - from one of those automatic machines and tastes like it's made from some sort of industrial concentrate..

Spectacular view of the oldest golf course in the world and the beautiful beach on the north side. Quiet in the hall. Shared toilets and showers reflects the relatively low cost of accommodation. Facing north there is a fair amount of road noise.
