My families stay was very pleasant. Ive stayed at smithes before and always been pleasant. Staff cant be anymore helpful. Breakfasts there if you want. Everything you need is round about or not far away. Perfect location

The hotel is situated in a famous street in Glasgow. The hotel is close to excellent amenities and good restaurants for fine dining. There many facilities for delivery if one prefers to dine indoors. The inclusive breakfast is also excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was cheap so we weren't expecting luxury. The whole building is quite old and some parts are a bit run down. But it is clean and the staff were excellent! We had a 'shared bathroom' but in reality this was a private bathroom, it just wasn't en suite but across the corridor. The room was completely quiet, no road noise or anything, which I did not expect for Glasgow. The black out curtains were also excellent and completely blocked out ambient street light. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked and very quick, with copious amounts of (strong!) filter coffee available. Staff were very attentive and the tiny breakfast room was quite quaint. The only real minus point for me was the shower was really not very good, there was very low pressure. But certainly for an overnight stay we were very happy and would visit again if we were staying over in Glasgow. It's cheaper than the cheap and nasty easy hotel, with lots more bedroom space!
