we went for a two-night break there is so much to do in the area place like holy island, Alnwick, Alnmouth, Morpeth and Whitley bay all within easy access.The Bridges is a beautiful homely house with hosts that are helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, Lesley and Steve are both lovely and very good hosts. The attention to detail is marvelous and the breakfasts delicious I have never seen a fruit salad so colourful it was more like a work of art. The room comfortable with gorgeous fluffy towels it was certainly top end.Would definitely go back and if a little bit of luxury is what you are looking for look no further.

A lovely stay which felt more like visiting friends than staying in a b and b. Our host Leslie was very welcoming and such good fun. The house is very much a 'home', and our room was comfortable with everything you could think of provided. Breakfast was wonderful- I had pancakes with fruit, and my husband who is gluten intolerant had a full ( gluten free) breakfast

Lesley and Steve are gems. Their beautiful home...is a home from home. They are both very generous and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. It was much needed after a stressful few weeks. Lesley s food is delicious too.. This is more a boutique hotel than b and b!!

Couldn't fault hosts in their efforts to do everything they could to make stay comfortable. No amount of effort could alter the location however. View over garages with people working on their cars - literally right outside . It was impossible to have the curtains open without an audience which, given the size of the bedroom, would be no good for claustrophobics. Breakfast was lovely with every attention to detail. Would recommend if you need an overnight stay to travel to Alnwick Castle.
