To be honest, it wasn't our first choice hotel because we were originally going to cambridge and then looked at other hotels in Ely because we were on a budget for a golf and horseracing trip. Found the nylon on a booking site and it had everything we needed. We contacted the owner and made a deal right with them and had a great time last week. Lots of parking, 1 minute from Ely Golf Club, 5 minutes from the nearest pub and only minutes from the station and riverside. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff was helpful. I'd stay again. Yes.

The hotel itself was fantastic. A lovely old location with a wonderful garden. The staff was charming, and the breakfast was excellent. It was a wonderful location to explore. It ought to have been a fantastic stay, but it was unfavorable for me, as a mobility aid user. It was advertised as being accessible, and I rang ahead to confirm this, but it was one of the least accessible locations I've ever been very narrow hallways with series of sharp turns that would have denied any turning space, doors that opened across these hallways etc. I also broke a tire on the sharp driveway, which is a big problem if you are away from home, do not know any disability repair places, and cannot walk. I ended up leaving my wheels on the roadside outside so that I could not risk breaking the tire once more. If you are able I strongly recommend it. It is a lovely hotel with friendly staff. I don't even think they were shady about accessibility, as most people probably thought it had a ramp or a ground-floor room was accessible. They did try to assist. However, if you use the wheel to get around, steer clear. That's 55 for general, and 15 for my stay, which is a median of 35.

The location was the only thing I enjoyed, and there were a few more packages of tea, coffee, and milk than average. It was also peaceful, and there was plenty of parking. I had a single room up three flights of stairs, but shortly after I got to my room, the owner used his key and walked in and started to come in! I heard a key in the door, but 2 rooms were only one square meter apart on a small landing I thought it was the neighbors opening their door! He said he was just checking if everything was good, as a woman staying alone I didn't feel comfortable that wouldn't happen again. The room appeared to have not been cleaned, maybe it hadn't been used in a while but it could have been cleaned for dust. I mean not dust on the corner you go looking for, I mean dust on the lampshade above the bed, dust on the kettle, and pieces in the kettle. The to remote was dirty. Im so glad I brought a pack of kitchen wipes with me! I stayed for two nights and put the clean me sign on the door. I could tell they were in because there was bleach in the toilet and the tea cup had been changed, but the shower was exactly how I left it. The shower was small and I looked over the shower rail, but it was a powerful shower. But be careful as it'

I was really unhappy with the accommodation. The room was filthy and in need of a thorough cleaning. The material on the divan base had been ripped off, exposing all of the wood and the interior of the divan. A valance sheet was used to cover this. Ive seen better-stained bed bases in a rubbish dump. The mattress was covered with a flimsy mattress protector under the sheet, but there were human hairs all over it. I could not sleep frightened of some pests, luckily not. The shower room was tiny and cramped, a bit like a cupboard but seemed tidy. However, the towels smelled like wet dogs, which was repulsive. The grounds are lovely, the breakfast was pleasant, and there is ample free parking.
