Owner very friendly and went above and beyond when my husband and daughter’s uber driver cancelled their ride to the airport 1 minute before Pick up as they checked out. With no other options he truly saved the day and they made flight on time. Beautiful room and house is incredibly accessible to those visiting SVU

The Blue Ridge Abbey Bed & Breakfast in Buena Vista is a beautiful property with welcoming owners who make you feel like friends as soon as you arrive. It's in a quiet neighborhood with mountain views, just minutes from downtown Lexington, W&L, VMI, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed exploring Lexington, but we also really enjoyed discovering Buena Vista. Our host Daniel provided made-to-order breakfasts that we chose from a menu in the evening. We had a wonderful stay.

This was our first B&B and could not have asked for a better experience! Our trip was for my graduation across the mountain at Liberty University, which was exciting and busy in itself. It was such a joy to come back to a house that felt as if we were visiting our favorite aunt and uncles, as well as cousins house, one of those places that your excited to get to. The staff was top notch, they're right there for anything we needed, the location is right in the middle of history, unbelievable! The breakfast choices were right on point, if you want a relaxing step back in time, Blue Ridge Abby B & B will not disappoint. looking forward to staying longer than three days to see more of this historic area. B&B was very nice and service (Sarah) was excellent! Rooms were spacious and comfortable, bathroom recently updated! A much better stay than at any hotel. We enjoyed it very much!

I’ve stayed in many inns& this is a nice inn. But it could be better. On arrival, the grass was a bit overgrown. However, it did get mowed the next day (Saturday). A vacuum cleaner was left in the hallway, & a ladder was left open in another hallway. The owner‘s daughter was getting married the following day so understandable that it was a busy time. But with a business partner, these small things could have been avoided. Breakfast was included in the room rate. They advertise that the breakfast is made to order. Mine may have been made to order, but it looked and tasted like it was made hours earlier. It was just okay. On my second day, they forgot to prepare breakfast for me and gave me $24 to compensate. The room is nicely furnished, but one of the lamps was defective. Both were turned on and off by touch. On one lamp, I touched in every location to turn the lamp on and off to the point that my finger was uncomfortable, and I gave up on trying to find the right place to turn it off with touch and had to loosen the bulb to get the light turned off. The ceiling fan light is also defective. Twice in the middle of the night, the light came on and I had to get up and dabble with the remote to get it turned off which was a sleep interruption. I recommend that they put at least one bottle of water in the refrigerator for guests along with tissues in the bathroom. Front porch is nice! I rate it an 8.0.
