This was by far the most interesting hotel I’ve stayed at with all the amenities of modern life.

Amazing stay. Amazing ambience in the hotel. I like the touch of the iPad controlling everything. Though the iPad froze a few times, it was as simple as hitting the lock button and then unlocking it, and it was fixed. Be able to set the light colors and dim the lights and set a “mood” on the tv, all through the iPad, made for quite a night. Definitely get the breakfast that comes with the room, nice way to replenish from the night before. Some good options. Highly recommend. Will absolutely be staying here again.

Truly had a great visit and was very impressed with the property. Gives a resort feel with smaller rooms, 2 people max. Only downside is I wasn’t informed to scan my card every time I had to the elevator which is very very minimal issue. Great location in the Georgetown area and a bus stop very close that heads towards the metro. Will definitely stay here or at another citizenM.

Although the room was small, it was quite functional and the cleanliness was adequate.

I stayed at this place the very first night it opened. Everything was new and clean, and the staff was helpful. The rooms are tiny, and seemed more in line with places I've seen in Europe than in much of the U.S. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast for $25 — pricey, but it was good. Bicyclists ending or starting long trips on the C&O Canal, take note: This hotel is very well situated for you. This hotel was at the end of my trip from Pittsburgh, along the Capitol Crescent Trail, one of DC's paved bike paths. If you're coming from upstream, pick up the Capitol Crescent as you ride into the city — it parallels the last few miles of the C&O tow path, and the pavement is smooth. I wish hotel management understood that long-distance cyclists could be part of their customer base. When I arrived, an employee said I could not bring my bike to my room, and suggested I lock it up outside. That didn't seem safe, so the hotel agreed to store my bike in its luggage room, which was fine. My room might have been too small to contain both me and my bike, but I would have made it work. CitizenM people need to learn about us! There are plenty of restaurants and other businesses within walking distance, accessible behind the hotel, uphill and over a pedestrian bridge. The nearest DC Metro station is about a mile away.

Very different hotel. The bed is against the wall so you have to climb across to get in. The bathroom is like being on a cruise ship. There is no parking, you’re on your own, they do not have drip coffee so you have to pay for a fancy one. The rooms are so small but the price is outrageous.. we paid over 700.00 for two nights. You have to use a tablet to control climate, sign up for cleaning etc..some may like this new vibe but not us.

Woman who checked me in was fantastic. Owen at the bar was wonderful great conversationalist. One of the morning male breakfast workers Thursday was incredibly rude made me feel rather uncomfortable

Clean and cool; good food. Staff was not great. At check-in, there were 3 employees. They made me wait while all three of them “helped” another patron. Later, i needed an iron—-the irons are in one room on the 2nd floor so u have to get dressed, go iron ur stuff in a room with others. I was on a phone call in the lobby, which is where the food, bar, and work-spaces are set up. An employee was vacuuming. She proceeded to vacuum around me (within inches of me) while i was on the phone. I couldn’t hear anything. Lastly, we woke up on our 2nd morning to our room reeking of marijuana. The hallway was even worse. It seemed to be coming from a staff room, as it got worse when that door opened.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a couple days wasn’t the best experience, the iPad that is connected to everything stopped working, we asked front desk if it can be fixed they said yes and didn’t fix it. We also couldn’t change AC temperature it was freezing we asked the front desk if they can manually higher it and they didn’t. The tv would also turn on randomly in the middle of the night. The bed is extremely uncomfortable and hard as a rock and the pillows were very flat. Other than that the hotel is new and has a nice smell.

We checked into our room. On a busy night 7/4 and only 1 person behind the bar. Then our room had wires hanging where there should have been shades. No shades on two big windows facing another building. No privacy. The answer was free breakfast!! We left.

I never got a room key that worked during my visit. I had to have a staff member open the room door every time I needed to get into my room. I was really not ‘free’ to come and go. Issue never got fixed. This was unacceptable.
