We had a very nice stay at the El Royale Hotel. The room was very comfy and clean and thoughtfully decorated too, with a roomier refrigerator than your average hotel. The air conditioning worked great. All of the parking spaces are very close to the rooms. We were proactively given an easy to follow map that showed us how to walk to Universal Studios, which ended up saving us $40 per day in parking fees. Xavier was very kind, friendly, fun, and helpful. He helped us with parking, gave us water when we left, and made us feel welcome. Great hotel! We would definitely stay here again. (I should also note here that for families with very young little kids, or elderly family members, a night time half mile walk to Universal Studios might not be a great idea, because after all it is a big city along a busy street and all that goes along with that, even if it is in a nice part of Los Angeles. If you do not have little kids or elderly family members and you feel comfortable walking around a big city at night, it’s probably okay.)

Convenient location, clean room, comfortable beds. All the basics are covered well. Groceries, food joints within walking distance, parking spaces provided. Xavier was very helpful and fun to talk to. Needed to keep an eye on time, as there is no late check-in.

Staff were friendly and attentive and the check in/out was really easy. Parking was safe/gated. Breakfast was either a muffin or packaged oatmeal, but the hotel was walking distance to really good food of all kinds. We walked to and from Universal studios and Xavier even gave us a printed map to walk there from the hotel. There IS a free shuttle for part of the way (the steep part). We would stay here again.

Chambre un peu vieillotte mais confortable. Bonne literie. La zone est assez calme malgré la proximité de la route. Aucun dérangement venant des voisins. Stationnement gratuit de la voiture devant la chambre. La proximité du parc Universal Studios est un gros avantage de cet hôtel. Seul hic : la soufflerie de la climatisation est bruyante et donc incommodante pour les personnes comme moi qui ont le sommeil léger.

This hotel has cute bungalows with your own car port parking spot which is very nice. Feels like you’re own place rather than being attached to a wall next to someone else. Definitely well priced for the hotel room and near universal studios (6 min drive without traffic) which is what we wanted it for. Staff was kind, easy to work with, and funny which is an added touch. You can tell some of the parts of the room needs upgrades but for the most part the rooms are nice and look fairly new.

just a great little hotel I'm hesitant to give a great review because I don't want it full when I need to stay here. The parking next to your room is excellent especially with my motorcycle. Its also a short distance to the main restaurants of Studio City I'd leave the car home and walk or uber to save on parking. Nice staff and a quality bed. great spot

Fantastic staff - very friendly and helpful. We had tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood Fan Fest (from 2 PM - 2 AM), and the hotel worked with us to get keys ahead of time so we could go straight to our room after the event. The room and bathroom had been recently remodeled and were nice. I would have liked another outlet near the nightstand.

The Staff was fantastic! Easy to check in, WIFI included, Free Parking right in front of your room, and lots of great and walkable restaurants nearby. Rob was awesome and a fun to talk to, the gentleman that guided me to where to park was super helpful and amazing and the last dude that helped with an accommodation was a life-saver!
