Very nice gentleman checked us in. I believe he is the owner at least he told me his wife could say he was. Cute little place and reminded me of the places I stayed when I was a kid with my parents. Will stay there again if I travel thru this area. More bathroom products than the major lodging places have. Just a quaint small motel that’s a reminded of how simple things were in the past

A basic motel with the basic necessities needed for a one night stay that were all in working order. However, the highlight that stands out was the warm hospitality and friendliness of the owners that greeted me when I checked in. I was provided with a cold bottle of water and snacks and fruit after a long drive from LA. She even made sure my room was in good condition before handing me the key! To me, that shows the good character of the owners and the cleanliness of the property and the rooms reflect that as well! When I’m back in the area for more hiking, I’ll be seeking my stays here from now on!

Don’t judge this place by the outside- this little motel ended up being exactly what I needed after an intense hike. The room is small, as expected, but perfect for a solo traveler or couple looking for a clean, comfortable place to shower, cool off, and rest. The AC absolutely cranks, which was heaven after being out in the heat all day. The owners have added so many thoughtful touches: toothbrushes, single-use toothpaste, makeup remover wipes, bath gels, plus a mini fridge and microwave in the room. When I checked in, I was greeted with bottled water, fruit, and cookies, such a kind welcome after a long day. There are also cute patios with hanging lights where you can sit and eat takeout, and there’s even a homemade ice cream shop right next door with a really vibey outdoor patio. One of the owners mentioned a nearby trail just behind the motel, and I’m so glad I listened. I ended up walking through the beautiful Mary DeDecker native plant garden alongside a babbling creek with little bridges and an incredible sunset view over the mountain ridge. It turned into one of the highlights of my trip. This place may not look like much from the outside, but it has heart, kindness, and everything you actually need for a peaceful stay.

Quaint motel at a very reasonable price- great for hikers looking to resupply and take an off day. The couple that runs the place are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable. We will be back!
