It was close to town. Parking is awful. We didn't go out at night because we weren't sure we would get a parking space again and my husband can't walk far. Actually, one night we couldn't even get out the way cars double parked. No one there to check in. Office closes at 5. A guest explained to me there was a pouch in the mail box with our key. There was never any communication from management about check in. I did place numerous calls and never got a call back. The room needed TLC. It needs a deep cleaning. Front blinds were broken. When I brought this to the attention of management I was told they were going to stay broken because maintenance man was off island. I was told I wouldn't be charged for damage lol Had to hang towels over lower windows for privacy from the porch.Knobs were missing off furniture. Floor tiles loose by door. Ceiling fan wobbled. Bathroom exhaust fan filthy. Paint peeling off sections of wall. I took pics and wanted to document the damage for my own protection. It was a low priced room. I guess you get what you pay for.

The buildings were old and not well kept, but clean. The beds were super comfortable. It was convenient to stores and restaurants to walk to. Parking was terrible. There were not enough spaces for the number or people. We arrived at 9:30 at night and there was nowhere to park, and the front desk was closed. I could not reach the managers by phone. But we did get lucky because after sitting in the parking lot for about 15 minutes, someone left and we got the parking space. The managers should have let us know about this situation. The next day we were told to park on the grass, but that wasn't always available. Don't stay here if you go to the island with a car. Parking was a challenge the whole time we were there. Also, one of the bathrooms had black mold around the tub. Toilets did not flush well. I would not stay here again. Also, the description on Expedia is different than what is on the resort website.

Unit 10 studio. Lies in the listing. No view, several blocks to beach. Full bed, not queen. No heat and no staff to help. (Key had been left in box by locked office door.) No reply to our messages through Hotels.com system or phone number we found. These were four cold, windy off-season nights! We used the electric oven to warm the place. One thin sad blanket was provided. Luckily we had brought a comforter and a beach blanket we could put on the bed. DVD player was broken. Bare minimum kitchenware. The “property fee” tacked onto bill was shameless. For what? On the up side: (“other than that Mrs Lincoln how did you enjoy the play?”) plentiful hot water, new coffee maker, ice trays, good location. Nature and charm of Block Island made it a great time despite the flaws here.

This was not a great stay except that the location was fabulous for not having a car on the island. We could walk and bike everywhere. We had trouble with check in because it was only available 4-5 but our ferry didn’t get in until 6. There wasn’t a key drop and we had to call the emergency number and then wait a while for someone to come and they were clearly mad that we were putting them out. I asked to confirm that the sleeper couch was made up and she assured me that it was, but it wasn’t but the sheets for the bed were there. In our room we didn’t have towels so I had to go ask for towels. When we got back later after dinner to go to bed, we realized we didn’t have blankets! I am glad we got the towels because we used them as blankets because I didn’t feel that I could call the emergency number again that night. The shower is in need of updating and the ceiling and paint in the bathroom were gross. And I paid a lot for the room. But it was a great location for our 1 night on Block Island

Called/texted them twice en route to let them know my late arrival time; no call back or answer. When on the property to check in I notified the lady at the desk that I tried to communicate with them en route. She said, “you probably called us when our office was closed.” And when I started to answer that I indeed called during office hours, she completely talked over me. Later that evening a woman put a key in our door and opened the door. My husband and I told her that this was our room. She never introduced herself. She CAME INTO THE ROOM, looked around and grabbed an opened Cocoa Puffs cereal box that was in the kitchen area. I asked her if she knew if the TV was a smart TV ,( might as well roll the dice that maybe she was an employee ) she said, “ how the hell would I know.” She then left the room.
