The Lightwell hotel provided an excellent stay. Every staff member we interacted with were helpful and friendly. The hotel was beautiful and had nice amenities. From the base camp to the bar, everything g was excellent. If you are planning to stay, the rooms were small, but very comfortable. When staying at the Lightwell, make sure to visit the rooftop terrace. Great views of the river!

AMAZING hotel!! I loved all of it. Room was sooo cozy. They thought of everything. A couple of things to consider: parking is on the street so be mindful of when your time expires. Also I got the “mini” room which was small and very cozy. But tiny! So go for the larger room if you need more space.

I stayed in a tiny king room. It was definitely small and would be perfect for a solo traveler. The room was immaculate and cozy. The hot soak tub and sauna were so nice to have available. Everything was within walking distance too. I will be back!

Perfect location in the heart of Hood River. A block from the train station and a short walk to waterfront. Very clean and chic hotel. Rooftop bar area was nice with beautiful river view. Rooms are tiny and thin walls (but they do provide ear plugs). Will plan to stay here again soon.

This hotel is really well done. Beautiful architectural details. I love that there are three kinds of water (fizzy, still cold, still ambient) in the lobby. The tiny queen was comfortable, but very tiny. The bed was against the wall and there were no power outlets on the wall side. Not good for a couple with CPAP machines. The room would be perfect for a solo traveler. The bathrobes were so cushy and soft. And the hot tub (3x the size of my room) was amazing. Luved it. Would stay again.

Great place! The price point in the state matched. Great location right in the middle of everything Hood River has to offer. It was nice to walk everywhere. The hot tub was perfect and the sauna is a great hot temperature 195°. We stayed in a king size river view. Because the hotel was built in 1905, all the windows are small, but the views were very nice. I can’t really compare this to anything else in Hood River, outside of the best western as those are the only two that I’ve stayed in. Very different hotels, but both are great.

Zero complaints. The hotel was beautiful and great location. Room was nice and updated. Small shower which made it hard to shave my legs. Minor inconvenience. Hands down best hot tub. It was huge and so relaxing down there. Loved having room to spread out. Why can’t every hotel have a huge hot tub?! We only stayed one night, but I would stay here again. Beds were nice too.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lightwell. The spa is amazing, the staff friendly and helpful, and the rooms clean. We also loved that there is a lounge, a rooftop bar, and the hotel is conveniently located. Just be aware that the rooms are smaller than usual and there are no refrigerators in the rooms. But this is our new favorite place to stay in Hood River!
