I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Silversmith, close to both the loop train line and a street over from the underground train that takes you down to Rate Field (White Sox) I felt like I was in the middle of where everything was. It’s a block away from the Giant Bean and not far of a walk for views of Lake Michigan. The staff were helpful right from the start, checking me in and giving me directions. The room was very generous. The bed was comfortable, plenty of room to place luggage (including a closet that I didn’t use) and enclosed fridge, coffee/tea section. Being Chicago and being near a train line I stayed in the back rooms of the hotel and while it didn’t eliminate noise, I believe it minimised it from what it would have been on the loop train size. Bathroom was huge. Shower has enough room for two people. Still had enough for a big sink area and toilet. Would stay here again.

Room a great size, location perfect and staff great. Lifts old and my floor light on the lift did not work.

The hotel is in an excellent location - right next to a train stop, and great for walking to many attractions and restaurants. It's loud right outside the door, but not in the hotel. The hotel is an old historic building, which we really like. We sat at the bar and had a drink one night, which was fun. We didn't eat anything, so can't review the food. We appreciated the free coffee every morning, and the lemon water available each day. The room was fine - clean, and everything you need except for possibly more hooks in the bathroom for towels, etc. We had so much fun talking to the front desk associate, Beverly. She was so friendly and helpful, recommending and booking a gangster tour, and recommending restaurants.

Rooms are large and clean. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance from many great bars and restaurants (or the red line, if you need it)

We went to visit Chicago for our anniversary. The location of the hotel is ideal! There are so many great places to visit within walking distance. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and up to date. We loved the bright lighting in the bathroom!

Wir würden wieder her kommen.
