I love the beach in Hollywood Beach. But I would say that everything else is nicer due to the weird characters that the beach seems to attract. The Southern seas resort itself has a great location within a lot, a few blocks from the bustling town center, close enough to easily walk there and back, via the beach or an attractive, peaceful oceanfront street but worlds away from the noise and crowds. It is directly on the ocean, with a beautiful, clean, smooth beach that goes for miles, a nice cool pool, easy parking nearby, and lovely landscaping. The owners were there for a meeting and were very friendly and nice, even inviting us to share their grilled food and supplying me with some delicious bananas growing on the premises. I believe you can find a more modern or luxury place nearby, but you won't get such views and location for the price. Florence in the office was another highlight. We had a maintenance problem, but the maintenance guy was out due to a stroke of illness, so florence arranged things creatively to our complete and happy satisfaction, so much so that I ended up being happy about the maintenance problem. She was also really kind and caring about our experience, honoring my many small requests and answering my many questions with a great attitude and personality. The resort was situated right on the sea. The view from our story room was excellent. The AC in the apartment where we stayed leaked and left a puddle of water on the floor.

We've stayed here three times over a six-year period. The rooms we have used have been immaculately kept, with new windows and sliding glass doors, flooring, and furniture. Our family can choose from a variety of room sizes. The location was also very convenient and far from the large crowds at Lauderdalebythesea Beach. It would be a pleasure to return. This is the third time we've stayed here. It's not a fancy place, but the rooms we've used have been kept up well with new windows and sliding glass doors, flooring, and furniture. Our family has a variety of options. The main reason I gave the rating was due to the personnel. Katherine, the property manager, and Cristina, the resort manager, were both quick, welcoming, and helpful. However, I want to most definitely thank Florence. Due to the lack of turning off the kitchen faucet, we had a water problem in our kitchen, dining area, and part of the living space. Florence went above and beyond to assist us with cleaning and even offered to assist with cleaning. And she did it while remaining friendly. The housekeeping staff always arrived at a convenient time, and the maintenance staff kept the grounds clean. Furthermore, the location was excellent and far from the noisy crowds at the main Los Angeles bythesea beach.

What's not to like about this place? Located right on the beach. Immaculately tidy. Wonderful bed. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Very kind and helpful. Just one drawback. It was chilly in the pool. I realize it was probably already warm up recently and it's still the low season, but it's time to start heating it! Not a deal-breaker between commercial avenue with numerous excellent eats and drinks and public plaza with all necessary amenities a little bit more expensive but worth taking.
