The Star Motel was a perfect choice for our trip to San Francisco. It was clean, cute, conveniently located for public transportation and for walking to big name locations. Having a free parking spot with our stay was also a life saver! The only negatives I would say is they did not have water in the lobby or ice machine room to fill up water bottles, though they did have a fabulous coffee maker! And there was a faint strange rattling sound from the corner of the room, but it really wasn't that bad. Overall we plan to stay here again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at the Star Motel! The room was clean and exactly what we needed for our short stay in the bay area. The parking was a huge plus, and the motel is within walking distance of so many awesome locations! Would highly recommend staying at the Star Motel!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Star Motel. The motel was clean and comfortable. I really appreciated the location, price, and free parking. The hop-on hop-off stops are close by. Easy walk down to Fort Mason. The neighborhood was quiet and had many restaurants near by. Definitely try Ly's Vietnamese next door. Their food is great and affordable. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family and will book again.

Super happy with our stay. The free parking was awesome. We never had trouble finding a spot. Nice clean, updated room with comfortable beds. Surprisingly quiet despite being located on a busy street. I'm a light sleeper but never heard a peep from other guests or street noise. The coffee in the motel office was great in the mornings. The market across the street was good for picking up necessities, as well as enjoying some ice cream. Nice coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Close to public transit. No complaints whatsoever. Great place to stay!

Great location. Can easily walk to restaurants on union, Lombard st, fisherman’s warf etc. pull out couch and coin laundry were great to have for our family road trip. The best was free parking! Nearly impossible to find in San Fran.

clean and in a good spot. Felt very safe. A lot of the stuff is new and seems like it’s ikea furniture so I’m not sure how long it will last but looks great. Whoever redid the motel took some shortcuts when redoing it (the grouting, bathroom sink wobbles, bathroom door didn’t latch when you shut it) but all and all it was very nice and definitely recommend staying again.

I had a wonderful stay at this motel in San Francisco. The place was very clean, and the staff was polite and welcoming. The motel looks like it was recently renovated because everything feels fresh and brand new! On top of that, the location is absolutely perfect. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommended!
