We love this hotel ! The room faced the ocean & we enjoyed the patio for morning coffee & evening sunsets ! The room is very clean. We also enjoyed the white robes ! Walking to the beach is so easy as well as restaurants & bars! My only complaint would be the toilet paper holder when a new roll needs to be put on . The holder doesn't allow the paper to roll around freely. Such a minor complaint. Everything else is wonderful! You won't regret staying here! Its our favorite hotel in Carlsbad .

We stayed at Tamarack Beach Resort for the weekend and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect—everything we needed was within walking distance. We didn't have to move our vehicle once during the entire 3-day stay. The beach, restaurants, shops, and local attractions were all conveniently nearby. The resort was comfortable, clean, and made for a relaxing getaway. Being able to park the car and enjoy the area on foot made our weekend stress-free and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient beach vacation

The Tamarack Beach Resort was wonderful! Very clean with a friendly staff. Our room was perfect with comfortable mattress and nice bedding. The room was big with extra chairs and tables. We will definitely return!

This is a great place to stay for the price and beautiful ocean patio view! The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. You are within walking distance to the village and across the street from the beach. There is a rec room also that is pretty fun if you have kids or teens. It seemed to always be in use. Pool is a little tired, but fantastic, if you don’t feel like being at the beach. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere with such a smiley staff!

I love that the facility is terrorist and each room on the outside has a balcony, which is where I ate breakfast each morning. If I stay there again I try to get a front-facing room of the ocean as the view is incredible but there's also a third story observation deck for the view as well. The facility is older but very well maintained and the staff is on it. You can't ask for a better location to me as I could just go across the street and either walk on the beach or walk on the sidewalk above the beach for Miles if I wanted to. The only downside was that someone kept smoking on their patio outside and it blew towards my patio and took away from my enjoyment. The front desk that they would call him but I imagine that something hard to control but it's supposed to be a non-smoking inside and out facility.

We loved our first time stay! Great place for a family reunion or get away! The amenities were nice to have so many options from swimming, 2 jacuzzi’s, 3 bbq grills, roof top sun deck & a viewing deck! It was fun to play ping pong & pool as well as enjoy the quiet library. Best of all it was right across the street from the beach and walking to many shops in Carlsbad Village! Thank you.

I love the location, all you have to do is walk across the street and you are at the beach. I selected the room with a beach view. It was nice sitting on the balcony and watching the sunsets. They do offer a breakfast, but the items are limited. The property is also within walking distance to the village with shops and restaurants. If you are there on a Wednesday you can also check out the farmers market. They also have secured parking at no charge which was a plus. The building is older but everything is kept very clean. This is the second time I have stayed here and I plan on staying there again.

Great location, walking distance to many restaurants and shops in Carlsbad Village., and right across the street from the beach. Very spacious 2 queens room, plenty of underground parking (included with the room rate), solid construction so not noisy, nice pool with 2 jacuzzi spas.
