This was our third stay at the Waterside Inn, because we love the clean, homey feel of it. The staff are friendly and helpful and the free breakfast is a plus. Cara, the breakfast server is so friendly, welcoming, and doesn’t let you go away hungry!

Room was clean and had a nice view. Only 1 wash cloth and 2 towels there when we arrived (4 people in room.) Had to wait until morning to get towels because office closes at 10pm and we got in late. Staff was great, very kind and accommodating.The person who serves the breakfast was awesome. Breakfast itself was so so, but my kids loved the waffles. We loved the outdoor pool and that it stays open until 1am. No lights on the fishing pier at night. AC worked very well. All in all, a great stay and we would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Waterside Inn! Overall, it was a great place to stay and we’d definitely come back. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and personable. The property and amenities were very well maintained, and everything felt clean and inviting. Our favorite amenity by far was the private pier—we spent a lot of time fishing and crabbing there, and it really made our trip extra fun. Not to mention the STUNNING sunset views. The only minor issues we noticed were that there was a tissue left in the peephole of our room, which we assumed was from a previous guest, and we found a few hairs on the towels that had been provided. However, when we requested fresh towels, the staff had them readily available with no problems at all, which we really appreciated. We didn’t get a chance to try the complimentary breakfast because it’s served from 7:00–9:00 a.m., and we never managed to wake up that early while on vacation! Other than that, we had a fantastic experience and would recommend Waterside Inn to anyone visiting Chincoteague.

The hotel was at great location with easy access to beach and restaurants. The pier that’s part of the hotel definitely needs some railings as it increases chance of accidents especially at night.

Breakfast was great! Cannot complain about our stay. Rooms were clean and amenities were nice. Close proximity to everything and could walk through town for food. Loved the balcony definitely a nice view. I also loved the dock, great seating down there. I’d recommend taking breakfast to go and sitting out by the water

From check-in to check-out this was such a positive experience. There was a pleasant warm greeting along with minimal check-in paperwork, directions for breakfast and wi-fi were provided as well as information about the inn property. Room service was available but not invasive. The property was lined with the most beautiful varieties of roses. The balcony faced the bay and sunsets. The pier was well kept. The pool was clean and open late (til 1am!). There was a group of picnic tables and a few grills for guest use. Breakfast was small, but sufficient to start the day. I look forward to our return to Waterside Inn!

I’ve been coming to Chincoteague for over 30 years and this has become my new favorite. The view of the water from the pool is outstanding, same thing from the hot tub, property is well-maintained and clean. Staff is great and helpful.

Wonderful staff. Owner took the time to speak with us about our stay and inquired if there was anything that would elevate our stay. The pool and grounds were kept immaculate. Our room was comfortable and had a beautiful view of the bay. Definitely would recommend staying here.

My children and I have stayed in the same hotel for every beach trip, for years. This property has never really let us down. It’s always an easy check in, the rooms are VERY clean, and the pool is well kept and a favorite of ours!

It was a really nice place. It was clean, the beds were nice, parking was great, breakfast was very good. I enjoyed it and we met some really nice guests there. The pool and hot tub were clean and I did use them, but only to put my feet in because I had a sprained ankle, but it was still good. I had the seaside view and the views were great. I walked the pier, that was nice. I would definitely go back.

Simplicity at its best. The rooms were clean the view spectacular. The staff was very nice and helpful and friendly everyone wore a smile and seemed like they enjoyed their life! And the young lady serving breakfast in the morning. Was a sweetheart and very kind and friendly. I'm going back!
