The owner was amazing and attended to all our needs. The room was fantastic and clean, with daily room cleaning included! Free water was provided, and the wifi was excellent. Would return to stay here. It is slightly more expensive than other places, but if you have the money, its well worth it!.4.8/55 May 2024

They have at least three properties. When we were there, their reception was in the main hotel - we werent staying there. It appears that the proprietors family also lives there as well. The location is excellent its close to the cathedral and there is no traffic jammed up like on mamay street or nearby. This is a budget hotel with decent rooms, air conditioning, and helpful staff who will help you if you ask. There isnt promoting tours, which is an excellent benefit.4.8/54 Jan 2024

The location is ideal for exploring the old town. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and cozy. From the balcony, you can see the cityscape. Three plastic bottles of water were present. I appreciate it. Slippers, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, bath towels are included in the amenities, but there are no hand towels.4.6/521 Aug 2024

I recently spent four nights here. It was a bit of slog to climb 70 stairs up to the fifth floor, but its worth it to get away from the street noise and enjoy vistas of the nearby rooftops. Superior double for $22, i got incredibly spacious and comfortable accommodation with plenty of storage space, fridge, kettle, hairdryer, chairs, and tv with flatscreen. There was some hot water issue, however it was quickly resolved. A 2minute walk will bring you to an airport. Excellent staff, excellent location, great place to stay.4.6/59 May 2024

We had a good experience at this hotel. My room was basic, but clean and very affordable. The location of this hotels is also great as it is right behind the cathedral. Also nice was the staff. But my only complaint is that it was noise. I stayed on the 6th floor, which required me to climb a steep and narrow stairwell. When i checked in, the staff assisted me in carrying my luggage. Good value for the money, clean, and quiet. The rooms and locations were excellent. The only drawback is that they dont have an elevator, so you must go up on your own, but they will assist you with your luggage and overall a decent place in san francisco. This place is an excellent value. The location is peaceful and close to restaurants. Its conveniently located next to the church, making it simple to find when you get lost. Clean and welcoming personnel. Very spacious beds! The showers are hot, and the wifi is functional!.4.6/525 Aug 2023

We had a great time at the especen hotel. You can hear the bells chiming all day and watch the locals go about their lives scurrying through the alleyways, which are directly behind the cathedral. We were happy we upgraded to i stayed in tastier room with balcony. The room is spacious and has psalm bathroom. There are many local street vendors in the area, and the night markets are merely walked away. If you want to treat yourself to shampoo and dry or hair cut, there is also opulent beauty salon nearby. Its like getting upscale salon treatment for fewer money at compared to staying at an expensive salon. Without if we stay at this hotel again in future, we will stay there again.Popular Facilities
