About Troutbeck Resort
Troutbeck Resort is situated at the foot of ancient pine-covered hills overlooking a trout-filled lake. Founded by Major Herbert Macllwaine in 1947, the resort has undergone considerable changes over the years. However, its famous log fire has burned continuously since the resort's opening. At 6, 500 feet (2, 200 m) above sea level, with surrounding mountains climbing to 8, 508 feet (2, 593 m), this inviting resort is perfectly positioned for exploring the scenic beauty of Nyanga and savoring the crisp mountain air.
