I have stayed at rival river camping several times over the years and it perfectly meets my needs. If you do not require a five-star hotel experience, this is a fantastic low-cost option in rival. The new owners and employees are super friendly. The facilities are simple and suitable for those who only need a cozy place to sleep. The toilet and shower facilities are in a separate building with a kitchen, which is typical of a camping facility in Finland. There is also a restaurant on site.

We were hoping to see the northern lights, etc. when we stayed here early in March for my partner's birthday. We opted to stay here because it felt like staying in a log cabin in the woods surrounded by snow. In actuality, the airport is only a 6 or 7 minute drive away, but when you get there, it feels out of the way. I booked the koppelo cabin, which is intended for 6 pals, but I was able to have it just for us two. It felt nice and isolated like a cabin in the woods, but it also felt comfy in your own head that you were close to you, lol. The cabin was amazing, lovely, and warm, and private sauna, which we utilised only occasionally. Beautiful big shower head, lots of hot water. If you wanted to cook and make your own food, there is one available, but you must leave the place as you find it, and I wouldnt be attempting to clear grease and crap. The food is fairly good but limited. On our first night, when it was very dark and freezing, one of the staff said he would send us a lift up to the cabin so we would know where it was and get our bearings. It's not really a good restaurant. The camp also offers a variety of snowy activities. I wasn't using these, but he had

The staff here is very nice. I stayed in this cabin, it is equipped with basic equipment, but this place is not recommended for one night on a short stay. The parking area is just off the road so it is not difficult to hear the vehicles coming from this cabin, however, it is located in the northern part of Finnish Garland, so the conditions are not busy. The common areas, bathrooms, toilets, and kitchen are the weakest part, in my opinion, and should be improved a lot. In the camping area, there are only few restrooms and shower facilities.

This place is not recommended. This place is not recommended, in my opinion. Great and friendly Common Rooms and breakfast. However, the shower lacks hot water. The opportunity to enjoy a nice walk in the forest behind the campsite and a small reindeer farm is just that.

The hotel is in a great location. I would recommend it for a solitary traveler. The accommodation is very comfortable to sleep in, the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are reindeer on site and a bus stop right outside the hotel where you can take you to and from Rovaniemi. A bit out of town, which at first seems to be a little too quiet but soon the still beauty of the accommodation is perfect.
