Posisi hotel berlokasi di area kota lama Semarang. Jika dari atau mau menuju ke stasiun Tawang aksesnya dekat jika berjalan kaki 8 menit (600m). Jika menggunakan kendaraan jalannya agak memutar kurang lebih 1 km, lihat lagi untuk rute saat weekend atau libur panjang. Kuliner mudah dicari, dari yang khas Semarang, western, dan heritage serta 24 jam cafe juga ada. Akses ke spot bersejarah juga dekat. Disekitar hotel dekat dengan Spiegel cafe, taman Srigunting, gedung marba , siwil art, rumah akar dll.

Posisi hotel dekat sekali dari lumpia cik me me. Untuk ke simpang lima tidak terlalu jauh, jika jalan kaki kira kira 700m apabila naik mobil atau motor kurang lebih 2km karena di Semarang banyak jalan satu arah. Disarankan jika mau explore keliling Semarang dari hotel, lebih baik order via entrance gate atau basement agar tidak terlalu menanjak. Apabila ingin dijemput di lobby infokan ke driver yang menjemput, agar lebih aware karena tanjakannya tinggi. Ada restaurant juga namanya fat elephant by artotel Gajahmada Semarang. View rooftopnya juga bagus.
