I had an amazing time at the inn kawashima, my first ryokan experience! The location is convenient, 15 minutes from the city center and 5 minutes to the food market. I was impressed with the attention to detail (the small welcome biscuits and tea set), cleanliness, and the small garden inside (which, by the way, is a great photo area). I expected it to be cold, but the air conditioning was on full blast, so the room heated up really quickly. Highly recommended for solo travelers as well!.

I adored everything about it. The owner was considerate and kind, and the breakfast was excellent. Gion and nishi market are both within walking distance of this location. There are many excellent restaurants close by. I would give it a 10 out of 10.

The owner was very friendly and the location was great, with many restaurants and sights nearby. The facilities were also beautiful. This is a really nice ryokan to stay in kyoto.
