Less than a 5 minute walk to 5th Avenue. Very clean and had a homey feel. Loved it for our first stay in Mexico.

So there were a few false advertisements that made this place a 3/5 star! 1. The shuttle was not authorized to pick up from the airport the Federales actually pulled me out of the car which was very distressing I ended up having to pay the airport 2000 pesos to take me to Playa 2. This property is a small boutique hotel close to 5th Avenue! It is an old property with room situated on three floors, and a narrow stairway to enter the small reception area. It is located over a restaurant, which does become quite noisy in the evenings, and when they start dragging tables & chairs along the floor when opening and closing! The room was quite spacious, however the amenities are very dated, and quite sparse. The shower is not very good, and only provided about 2 minutes of hot water and then it was cold. The microwave in the room stopped working after 3 days in the room (only used to heat water for a coffee). The air conditioning was not functioning on the first night, but this was explained to me, and the following day the maintenance guy was coming to repair it.! The young receptionist that checked me in was very polite & courteous, and was available if required. For a budget hotel this property is "OK", but there are many other accommodations of better standard located close to this area.

Very well situated, very clean and totally cheap. Big refrigerator, 2 burners, small sink. But it’s a 2 stars, not a 3. Only 2 minutes worth of hot water. No towels at check in, needed to No hangers. The unit 201 is very very dark, but I’m pretty sure the higher levels are brighter. Not soundproof at all, bring earplugs. Above a lively restaurant, amazing flamenco dancer and guitar player on Friday nights. Fatima the hostess was lovely.

I rented the penthouse top floor. Overall it was okay. Would rent again but rather rent elsewhere. Pros: - cute appartment with basic kitchenette - tv in living and bedroom - great location. 1 minute from 5th ave walking zone, 5min from beach - no cockroaches Cons: - great location right in the center but that comes with loud music and party noise at night - no elevator - no speak English - slow WiFi, poor connectivity. Only had WiFi at the entrance, lost connection inside the room - no daily housekeeping. Every 3 days only or extra charge. Had to purchase toiletpaper myself after two days. - not very clean. Found hairs that are not mine everywhere. Avoid looking under your sheets or be horrified. - room floods with water when it rains. Puddle of water at the entrance every time it rains

The place is above a restaurant, so it is loud at night. The service is good and kind, also the room service. We booked for 4 nights, and then we booked for 2 more nights. The place is good what so ever. Not a perfect place but cheap, you get high value for your money

Loud. Beds were rock hard. WiFi wasn’t always working. Cable went out a couple of times. Pillows and cushions were smelly. The man in charge was nice.

I was very disappointed with Casa Luca.Upon arrival, we were told we could not check into the room we originally booked (the penthouse) because the current tenants wanted to stay another night. We had to stay in another room and then move the next day. They gave us a ticket for a free breakfast down the street to accommodate us.The penthouse was pretty bare and needs maintenance. The bathroom smelled like raw sewage constantly so we had to keep the door shut. The hot water was consistent and good. On our second to last night, our neighbors next door told us that they had been robbed in the middle of the night. Their passports, money, and computers were stolen out of the room while they slept. They left later that day. I awoke the next morning to a female hotel worker walking into my room WHILE I was sleeping at 8:40 am. I asked her what she was doing and she told me to it was time to checkout. (She spoke no English) I told her I was not due to check out until the next morning and she left. Even if I was supposed to checkout (which I was not) check out is not until 12 o'clock. My other complaint was that we had a back patio. The door was jammed shut and could not be locked or opened. We asked for the key and never got it. However, the door did crack open enough for a ton of ants to come in under which we then found in our bed. You get two towels for your entire stay. The wifi was not great either, it only worked when sitting outside or in the front room.

I didn’t end up staying… there’s no communication with the owner. Upon arrival, the outside looks abandoned, a local showed us the entrance. There’s no one in the reception area, however, a family member of the owner (Sandra) was there and she helped contact the owner so that we could get in the room. Sandra had to use WD40 so that we could be able to lock and unlock the unit… There’s only one visible ac unit and it wasn’t sufficient to cool the entire unit, so I booked another room at a different hotel. Once we communicated this, we were later told that there was a “hidden” unit in the bedroom. Worst experience I’ve had, especially when you’re trying to show your partner a nice time for their birthday. Not to mention, there’s no pool as advertised in the amenities.

Absolutely HORRIFIC hotel with no communication at all. I was locked outside for almost an hour and couldn't even get in. The appliances are rusty, the room looks NOTHING like this, and is completely different inside. There are much cheaper places for better value in Playa . Whatever you do do not stay here Also there is no staff on site at all ever for anything. They don't answer the phone when you want a refund- HORRIBLE PLACE!

There is a restaurant on the first floor, I stayed on second floor, couldn't sleep because of the noise, you can hear every word of people dinning, you can also hear your next door neighbor snoring, so clear, even washing their teeth or using their bathroom and every word they talked. Many other issues too. I'm not difficult, I stayed in many places, never wrote a bad review and I usually don't complain but this place was too bad. Price is average for the area, is not a matter of cost.
