Excellent country manor hotel in a remote location outside Aberdeen. Very well maintained and well staffed. We had a comfortable room with a view of the river. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. Can't fault our stay.

Great hotel in a beautiful location right on the River Dee. The views are incredible. Ample parking. Nice room (with river view), and modern bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were very well made. Service everywhere was excellent. There was a wedding going on my first night - I didn’t hear a thing. At first I thought the bed felt firm, but I had great sleeps both nights. Overall, an excellent hotel, and I will stay again if I’m in the area.

A lovely overnight stay. The sandwiches at lunchtime ( especially the Club) and the truffle and Parmesan fries were superb as was dinner. Lovely clean rooms, tastefully decorated throughout the hotel and staff were extremely helpful. What a stunning position next to the river!

It is a beautiful property on the banks of the Dee. Our room was large and beautiful, with a great bathroom and an amazing shower. We did not eat in the restaurant, but the staff recommended a great place in Peterculter (the Ploughman) that was excellent. The staff was great - the only negative for us was the room was too hot, making it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, great!

I have stayed here for the last 3 years . The staff are truly outstanding. The food is extremely expensive. I ordered scallops for £17.00 only 1 on the plate very disappointing. The heating was not working. room was very cold No hot water on the Tuesday morning. Credit to the team they couldn't do enough for me .. However the menu needs sorting
